Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I think kuyt simply can't cross the ball. I was surprised today by Arbolea as his crosses today were very good. Hope Rafa will rest Kuyt as he was non existence in the second half.

Very very happy with that result, my god did we ever need that one, a few observations though.

Overall I did not have an issue with Rafa today the subs made sense but when will he wake up and realise that Kuyt is utter :censored:, everywhere I go in the world there is the same response to Kuyt being on the team sheet, WTF is he doing in the team? The lads got a lot of heart but no skills, he gives the ball away constantly.

Second point is that Chelsea are truly shocking this season, I just can't figure out how they are in 3rd place?

All that being said I thought we played well enough, certainly better than we have been of late although I still think we lack that cutting edge although Torres is getting better by the game.

The ref cost them fuck all. On another day they'd have been battered 5-0. They were just sh*t through and through. We bossed them all over the pitch in every area and made them look very poor. So what Fat Fwank got sent off. F*ck him. His tackle was wreckless as fuk, and had he been any closer to Alonso, that was a leg snapper. That dirty kunt Bosingwa should have got a red too, but as it's typical for refs in the Prem to completely sh*t the cacks once they've already made a massive decision in a game, so it evened out. The sending off made no difference to our play whatsoever. We scored from a cross, so it wouldn't have mattered. Oh, BTW, great subs from Rafa. Redeemed himself.

A poor first half, a much improved second half, but most important thing is the three points.

Go headbutt a pitchfork.

Well, the things is though bigmick, even if i agree Kuyt and Reira was our worst player, Riera offers something going forward!

He can actually do a defender, get into a position and unleash a good cross or a good shot like he did in the 1st half.

What does Kuyt do from his right midfield position?
he does absolutely nothing!

the perfect example which says all about Kuyt is when in the 1st half he runs and around and around and gets the ball on him and he takes it down the byline and then wastes all that hard work by sending an abysmal cross over the line.
Kuyt in a nutshell. All that hardwork and absolutely nothing to show for it.

This is Reira's 1st season here. I believe there is room for improvment since he will get the hang of things and he actually is a left midfielder.

What can I expect from Kuyt, the glorified 20/20 striker, makeshift winger, makeshift whatever?
He was bought for lots of money as a STRIKER, and scored 1 goal 1st half of last season from open play in the league in
the role he was bought here for. And he was almost NEVER
subsituted.
What does Rafa do?

Keane and Crouch only scored 5? in maybe half the time Kuyt
has been on the field. Their reward is on the bench.
Kuyt's reward?
He more or less just have to play and since he has been an utter failure as a striker, what we bought him for, he gets showed into a position he has never played before and gets more time on the field than any other LFC player.
When he is in good form or when he gets 1 goal in every 20 games doesn't matter. Kuyt plays 90 min no matter what and
it has been testing my patience for a long time.

I don't care if he is a good bloke. I know many persons who are nice and do charity work. Do I want them to play for LFC?
**** NO.

We already have 2 CM protecting the back four, why not have Riera and Benayoun on the wings?
And show 1% as much faith in them as Rafa does in Kuyt....

Aurelio Bigmick, my man of the match too, and I would not play Kuyt on the wing again. He looks like a striker playing out of position. every time he plays there. watch every single game in future all of you when he gets the ball wide! He doesnt whip it in, and Faff's around with the ball and doesnt cross it.

Just whip it in Dirk, to the six yard box, causes teams probs all day , Torres can pick up mistakes, and gives us a far better chance.

Rafa just plays him cause he works hard. But as far as im concerend he may as well run around a maypole all day long, or run on a treadmill all day ,and not get anywhere!

For all his poor 1st touch, KUYT has brought more to Liverpool in a month than Crouch did in a season.

While  understand the criticisms of the player's recent form, what I never understand is why it is difficult to credit the player with anything. For instance on the Opta index he has one of the best assists in the PL...

Get off Dirk!

:talktothehand If it's Ok with you I'll not bother with the stats on this one. I just look at the game and it's enough.
