These games are nearly always dire. It'll either be 1-1 or a 1-0 either way. Not that I care as long as we win.

If you think we've been poor at defending set pieces recently Chelsea have been even worse. Just a shame we've got nobody who can put a decent ball in. :lookaround

I'm really not looking forward to this game:(
Why I feel like this I'm not sure but I'm just so depressed at the way we've thrown our lead away so easily we might just aswell have not started the season so well had we??
Sorry guys just down in the dump with the way we've been playing lately.

Since we aren't in first anymore, can we not act like were being relegated if the result doesn't go our way?  It's hard to keep up with all the posts when we draw  :D

It depends whether Masher, Babel (if picked) etc.. decide to get off their hairys and make a game of it.

2 - 0 if all the players step up to the plate, 0-2 if not.  Key game for Rafa´s immediate future with the owners.

I just hope that we don't have another damn draw again, because we need at least one team to stay close to Manure.

The build up of these continuous, monotonous draws are not helping the team and each time we draw the pressure builds up. I just hope we get out of this. The sooner the better. Once we get back onto winning ways im hopeful we will go on a good run. IF these draws continue were doomed!

Ahead of the game at Anfield, Benitez admitted that January has been a ''terrible'' month, but insists he feels under no extra pressure as his side have drawn seven of their last 11 Premier League games and allowed Manchester United and Chelsea to leapfrog them in the title race.

He said: ''We are eight points better off at this stage than last season. We are very positive and if we can beat Chelsea everybody will be talking in a different way about us.

''We are in our best position for the last 10-15 years. So we have to enjoy it and try to keep doing our best. There is no extra pressure on me. I can guarantee that I have not read a newspaper, listened to radio or watched TV since the Wigan game.

''I spent Thursday enjoying some time off with my family because I knew there would be a lot of people trying to talk about things they do not know about.''

But he accepts that Liverpool must beat Chelsea, adding: ''We showed character and quality to beat them earlier in the season, and we showed the same things in beating Manchester United here.

''Now if we can continue to show those qualities and beat Chelsea again, maybe we will be in the headlines for something positive. It has always been important to beat sides who are at the top, but maybe this year even more because we are very close to them.

''We are closer. Last season we were 14 points behind at this stage, but now it is different.''

But Benitez knows Liverpool's situation, despite a 15-match unbeaten run, must improve quickly.

Lets win this game please.  :buttrock I'm still nervous but something has to go our way again this torture/horrible form has gone on long enough!
