You're right, S@int. We never played poor at all, and we were in total control. But it's not about the team that was picked, or the performance. It's just about Rafa this time, and this time he just completely made a complete balls up. Honestly, his subs this time were just absolute crazy. He never even had to make a sub. Simply subbing like-for-like with Babel for Riera, or putting Dirk on for Benayoun would have sufficed. Nothing fancy. Solid. Job done. Instead he takes the captain off after that f*cking eejit gives away a pen, and leaves him on the pitch. I dare say even Gerrard will be scratching his head at that.

To be fair to both, neither were playing very well at all, though Gerrard still looked a threat at times. Though it makes no sense whatsoever to take your two best players off when even if they are quiet, they can still produce a match winner. Torres was unlucky to have hit the post, but leaving Lucas on and taking Gerrard off is just f*cking madness in the extreme. Lucas is NOT LFC standard, end of.
