I apologize for making another Arsenal-Liverpool related topic but I have something to share with you all and I think the rest of the topics are bit spamful at the moment.
-I don't know if you all remember Tottingham Forests record, 21 wins, 21 draws = 42 games unbeaten. They were unbeaten from 1977 until 1978. Their record came to a stop when we (Liverpool) beat them on November 20thish (don't know the exact date) in 1978.
Arsenal set a new record of their own that is superior than Forests. Here is the irony of all this, on November 28th, Liverpool will face Arsenal for the first time this season. Will history repeat it self by Liverpool ending yet another record this time set by Arsenal? I believe we can.
I watched the Boro and Arsenal game, both teams played extremely well but Arsenal came on top at the end. Boro made one slight mistake that we have made in the past against Arsenal, we settled for a 2-1 (or higher) lead, which is something that you simply can not do against Arsenal.
I must give the Gunners credit for their good performance but I looked closely at both Boro's and Arsenal's defence.
First the goalkeepers were funny imo. Dudek/Kirkland is/are god(s) compared to Arsenal's and Boro's goalkeeper. They both alowed shots outside of the box for the most part which I think Dudek/Kirkland could had stopped those shots and Arsenal's defence is quite poor. They let Boro get through them quite easily. <----there is the Arsenal flaw.
1, being their goalkeeper and 2,their sloppy defence. Arsenal is very fortunate to have good strikers because last season they were always behind one ore more goals, so they had to come back and with the help of their strikers, win the game. However Liverpool at the moment is a very solid squad for the most part, every squad has a flaw, that has to be pointed out because no squad can be perfect otherwise we wouldn't be humans.
In my opinion our midfield and defence is superior then Arsenal's. Do they expect us to let them score 5 goals? With the midfield and the defence that we got, it is going to be a very hard thing to do and at the moment Liverpool is becoming more and more solid. Obiviously Rafa has the experience. He has proven that he can win something within the first season. La Liga is just as hard as the Premiership but there are some differences and I think that Rafa has noticed that in the two games that we have played.
We the fans shouldn't be worrying ourselves too much about Arsenal,Chelsea and I don't even know why people are talking about Manchester United, because their current squad is a joke. (A win over Norwich is a joke, Norwich could had scored another goal and it would had been a draw). Keep the faith, with Rafa and our squad things can and will happen that will show the world that Liverpool is a force to be reckoned with.
