Beating Utd at home was one thing but if we can do this then I reckon thats an even bigger step. Not sure who is out for them but obviously no Essien and I dont think Drogba will be at 100% even if he plays. I think Deco will be back for them too.

Then comes the new situation of "leading the pack", being out in front early on, all that stuff that the media will hype beyond belief.

As I've said, I'm strangely optimistic. I want to win and then see how we handle it all.

Anyway as far as Sunday goes the swelling has gone down a lot still got a bit of a hop but im going cant wait.

I think a score draw is on the cards for this one :nod

I'd take a draw now too.

It's not defeatist to do so either.

Their undefeated at home for 4 years and unbeaten home and away this year in the Prem (the whole of 2008 not just this season).

The key may well be our midfield and in that department we are more than a match for the Chavs with masca, Alonso, Riera and Gerrard all likely to start.

Even a loss at this stage wouldn't be the disaster some are suggesting for either team. The time for "Title deciders" are played in March and April not the back end of October.

Yeah like most I'd have a draw all day long. A draw would be a huge result for us, whereas for them it would be something of a bubble burst. I think if we were to draw and the Mancs win at Everton (which they will because they always do and because Everton are a poor side), it would mean the top of the table getting quite conjested again. Curiously, out of the top three I would think that Chelsea would probably feel least comfortable about their achievements undet those circumstances. Yes they'd still be top, but they've had a fairly gentle run of opening matches, and their only games against big four opposition would have been us at Home and the Mancs at Home, and in neither game would they have won.

We on the other hand would have seen off man U at Home, and then got oursleves a creditable draw at the bridge. The Mancs would still be a couple of points adrift, but their two big four games would both have been on the road, so they would be feeling pretty good about things too.

All in all, I see it as a game Chelsea could really do with winning. There's no such thing as a mortal blow given where the teams find themselves and given the timing of the match in terms of the season, but it would definately set them back big style if we were to win it. My feeling is that we will need to score at least once if we are to get a point, and that we are going to need to defend at a far higher level than we have recently. My heart thinks we can come home with a 1-1, but my head fears we may have to score twice to get a point given our defensive frailties of late, and without Torres it maybe a bridge too far on this occasion.

It's our defence which worries me, particularly Arbelola, I know that he is better than he's shown the last few games, he really needs to be on form against Chelsea for us to have any chance, otherwise it could get very embarrassing

They have a lot of players out as well. I dont think that we should go into this thinking that a draw is not a bad result. If we are to be champions we cant go into games thinking that we are second best.

I am really looking forward to this game, predicting a 2-1 either way.

With Ballack, Drogbha, Essien out and the two Coles' very doubtful we certainly have a decent chance of breaking their "undefeated at home" record, in fact if Torres was fit I'd have put money on it but as it stands I think it's too close to call, probably a 0-0 or a 1-1.
The kind of game that can turn on an individual error or a refs decision.

Drogba is out , hoping that cech can't make it as well , always has a blinder against us at the bridge . would take a draw now to be honest

Part of me would be happy with a draw, because we wouldn't lose any ground and then we should be looking to beat them at home.

But another part of me thinks that we should look to win this, stamp our mark on the Premiership title race and show everyone we are in it. It would also put us ahead in the title race, not by much but at the end of the day we're in pretty good form and still behind on GD. Chelsea don't look much like losing, I don't believe many sides will beat them this season so perhaps we should send a message to them - what better way than breaking that unbeaten record?

And don't forget the mancs. We beat them, it stung. But they're not out of the title race and we need to keep winning. 27 may not be the exact number of wins that wins the Premiership this season, but we need to be aiming at that mark and the best way to do that is look to win every game. You will draw some and lose some, but settle for a draw at a ground like Stamford Bridge and you might end up regretting it.

At the end of the game we would celebrate a point, however I'd love to be celebrating three
