Rediculous. Absoloutely rediculous.

we shouldnt of spent that much money on a striker until we had the left side sorted first .

Oh and not sure how 4-4-2 can be our best formation without any players to play wide left or wide right .

Rediculous. Absoloutely rediculous.

No more ridiculous than spending £20.3m on a striker and playing him up front, potentially detrimentally to the team, simply because he cost £20.3m.

At the end of the day players cost what they cost, some cost nothing. What a manager has to do is decide on the best formation and best players to suit that formation (or vice versa) and once they're here they are equals. If the manager deems a player can play wide when they're a striker, so be it. If they are the best option and do well enough then who cares. But to suggest we should play Keane and up front because he cost £20.3m is the utmost in ludicrous notions.

Should the mancs have persisted with Veron because he cost £28.1m? Should Chelsea have persisted with Shevchenko simply because he cost £30m? Should spudz have done likewise with Rebrov at £11m? Should we never play Gerrard because he cost nothing?

You've completely missed the point as usual and I can't even be arsed explaining it.

If you're to stupid to see it I suggest you find a different sport to follow.

I think rafa would agree with that statement mate.
By all accounts Rafa wanted Barry signed first and foremost, its interesting to think if we had got Barry would we of then got keane?
FWIW i really like Barry, even when he plays CM he still often bursts a gut to overlap the left wing and get a cross in, he made a goal doing just that in Villa`s first (think it was first?) game.Even when played CM he`s still a better winger/wide left than we`ve got. :D
That said i obviously hope Masch and Alonso destroy him on Sunday but TBO i can see him having a really good game, he no doubt feels a little miss treated and will be looking to prove a point. I dont think we`ll have a harder game outside the other top four this season, our lads need to be really fired up for this one because to them its personal, why? Well because we had the absolute ordasity to put in a bid or two for one of their players, i player who said he wanted to sign for us.
You would think Rafa turned up at that ground they play at, p!ssed though their letter box shat on their door step and wiped his :censored: with their shirt the way their going on.
Went a bit off topic, sorry i do it all the time im going to shorten it to WABOT, sorry, in the future. :)
Dont judge a book by the cover, unless you cover just another, because blind exceptance is a sign,

Fernando Torres has credited Real Madrid legend Raul for giving him the winning mentality that saw him fire Spain to Euro 2008 glory.
The Reds striker revealed that the wise words of his compatriot following his country's World Cup failure in 2006 have stuck with him ever since and have provided him with the perfect motivation ahead of matches for both club and country.

"When Spain went out of the World Cup in 2006 I was looking to Raul for comfort as one of the leaders of the team,” he said.

"He just said to make sure you never feel like that again. It seemed harsh at the time but now I understand.

"Now, when we play games like the win against Manchester United, I remember how it was in the dressing room that day and I do everything I can not to feel like that again."

I read in the Spanish press that Torres is the best foreign striker in Liverpool's history, as he has improved Patrick Berger's amount of goals. Actually from the Spanish point of view a Welsh like Rush isn't considered foreign to an English club, so it's not to say much, but Torres is better than the Baros, Bergers, Morientes, etc.
