He's right to defend the industry of films, I don't share that care as I think there are better things to care about, but certainly he has the right to defend their revenues.

But when he talks about the old men's electricity and gas, that in my book is within the realms of demagogy. Cheap demagogy, to be more precise.

eating meat helps the economy, as does owning a car. tv and film piracy is a purely selfish act that only helps the indivdual.

Helping the economy only continues insane spiral into a destructive soul-less materialistic consumerism which will ultimately destroy the world.

By destroying both the TV and film industry the truly selfless pirate will help get a lot of lard a...s off their couches/sofa or beanbags  and out doing some productive work which will benefit all of mankind   :D

The individual and my uncle, who's an actor. If the industry is destroyed perhaps more people will bother to go to the theatre again instead of buying a DVD.

But to be honest, I don't want the industry to be destroyed. I keep buying things. What things? the things that convince me. Once I'm in love of a tv show, I consider to buy all of it to have the real thing, with the real covers, and to support the show I like.

I don't like to  have everything for free always, I just don't want to pay for crappy shows. That applies for music aswell. If I download a band and I like it much, I'll buy the disc, AND will go to the concert.

I cannot compare how much I spend on the industry, because when I hadn't internet I hadn't my own money, but every disc I own, it was downloaded first. If it wasn't for the internet I'm not sure I'd have as much discs to be honest.

thats a rubbish arguament sabre. what you are saying is you never watch it on tv, its download and dvd. that means the tv stations lose the viewers, lose the good advedrtising, lose the money, lose the good shows, murdoch gets it all and it all goes round and round. so people telling me they buy the stuff they like doesnt cut it.

(if only i cared a 1000th as much about ANYTHING else in life i wouldnt be sucha  douchebag lol)

Perhaps you're lucky with the Beeb and they show good music and shows.

Spanish TV shows Paulina Rubio, Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias, they never show me a good band unless it's 2 am in the morning and in low audience. I've bought discs of The Cult, Weezer, The Doors, bands that I would have never known if it was for the Spanish TV and radio. The radio formula killed the Rock and Roll and I'll hate them for that always.

Sabre, what are the good Spanish bands, are there any? Any time I have heard Spanish music its either really traditional and folksy (which isn't bad) or rrrrrreally pop sounding like it was meant para las niñas con 12 años

Barricada, great band.

Oh yes Joe, the problem is that the good rock bands are too punished by age and drugs :D, like Barricada or Rosendo, or the former Heroes del Silencio.

There are all kind of music, but only the cúnts like Enrique Iglesias will be heard abroad

P.S. SOrry for the topic drifting, back to tv shows.

Think this guy expresses in the first three minutes Woof's attitude to downloading, oil supplies and even global warming

You've had this row a million times before! :D
The way I look at it is without really getting into to it....Everything these days is costing extortionate prices from food,gas,electric..just everything!
Its all risen in cost but wages have not risen at the same rate.
Half the country is feckin skint!! :D
Its nice once in a while to take something for nothing!
