and as for flamini - no thanks.

not necessarily, because I think it was in the context of 1st team vs. youth or reserve level, so that could mean someone of the Yossi Benayoun/Voronin ilk, but I hope it isn't.

A stand in for Pepe... Jussi Jaaskelainen maybe I believe he's out of contract soon and he's a very decent goalkeeper IMO.

Why would you want King? He's a good player in principle, but injury prone and which of Carragher, Skrtel, Hyypia and Agger is he better than?!?!? I'd say we're set fair with CBs with Hyypia now signing an extension, unless one gets injured in which case why sign an injury prone player even as cover?!?!?

I did consider it might be Flamini, not sure how he'll fit in with the team unless he's going to play FB which I think he has a few times for the goners. Again not a position we really need, either flank and up front should be the first priority

Recently their has been talk that this player may be Fredi Kanoute. He fits the bill, speaking very good english. He has also not exactly first choice at Sevilla with the lack of goals and the form of luis Fabiano.

In my opinion wouldn't be a great signing because he never set the world alight at spurs or the hammers.

I hope it is Rafinha. Finnan not quite the player he was last year.

King is a great player and he has had bad luck with injuries this season , in fact i rate him in the same bracket as carra and he's very reliable and a fantastic defender and it always good to have options .

Carragher          King         Agger          Skrtel

Both carragher and Skrtel can play anywhere across the back 4 and imagine a defence like that instead of

Arbeloa         Carra         Agger          Aurelio

WHich 1 would u take?

As for Flamini , he was intentially a left back before being converted into a central midfielder and the same is being done for eboue who started off at right back and now is playing at right midfield

Has anyone actually seen this Rafinha play? Before we get all excited over him. If its the Schalke player then he looked a bit shakey against Barcelona in their home tie.

Doesn't the fact that a) spudz aren't keeping him and b) he's "unlucky" with injuries tell you something?!?!?!?!? If we sign a full-back or two as we should in the summer then playing four CBs wouldn't be needed as an option even, trying to accommodate another Kewell is no way forward.

And I'd rather sign Clichy for left-back than Flamini, and according to Wikipedia he is naturally a defensive midfielder as I thought not a full-back as you think. He filled in at LB at Arsenal, that much I was sure enough about to check

How many bosmans aren't? Clubs don't readily let good player's contracts run out. I looked down that list posted and couldn't see too much quality with the big guns likely to be hovering.

Ask yourselves these questions ?

- why is the player on a free?
- where are they currently playing?
- do other big clubs want him or is he the one wanting a big club?

Big clubs sell big players and let cr ap ones go on frees/bosmans. If they aren't at a big club and not commanding a top fee, how good can they be?!?!
