Benitez stays calm amid the Anfield storm

Rafael Benitez maintains the latest twists in the battle for power at Liverpool are not affecting him and claims the fact that he has already signed a player for next season is evidence that he is still able to work effectively despite the ongoing problems at Anfield.

"I will not explain too much, but from Sunday until now, we have been progressing. So we continue working and doing our job. We have some signings for the next season done. They are senior players for the first team and young players for the first team and reserve team. Two of them are really close, young players, and one senior player is done. He talks good English, but is not English."

So he talks good english but isnt english, wonder who he is?

Rafinha or Aimar?

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I'm not worried whether he is English or speaks good English, does he play good FOOTBALL? No hints as to what type of player or from where, no inkling as to if it's a Bosnian :D transfer or there's a fee involved

Isn't it a shame such a no-mark dic like Bosman can leave such an impression on football. There's a danger clubs and footballers in their own self interest will leave equally serious impressions on football.

For the way he's saying he speaks good english, I think it's more a game he plays with the fans, a riddle, than a bit of info :D

My hunch :D is that he talks about a player that knows well England, isn't english, and is well known by everybody. I could use a Henri or a fit Robben, despite his diving past in Chelsea.

The best bit is the one that is not highlighted

"I will not explain too much, but from Sunday until now, we have been progressing. So we continue working and doing our job

It's always positive he thinks of next season, deals are being done, because it's a good sign about Rafa continuing here.

Sorry for being an idiot here Joe, but who the feck is Steven Pinker? I thought it wqas that David Icke bloke at first until I noticed he didn't have the old turquoise shell suit on. I know we could do with a decent reserve goalie and all that but that is scraping the barrel somewhat.

As for the pinker bloke, the last time I asked who the feck somebody was it turned out he was the fitness coach or something, so don't tell me, Pinker'll be chief scout or something equally important.
