As an ardent supporter of both Heskey and Diouf I really enjoyed last night's game.....

Before you knockers come out to bury me, I know it was just one game but I think Diouf's been one of our best players all season. As for Big Emile, I've always rated his allround game but he's clearly not scored enough goals - hopefully last night will be the confidence booster he needs.

It was noticable that he got some good service from the wings last night - I was at Anfield on Saturday sat in the middle of the Anfield Rd upper and there was a 15 minute spell in the 2nd half when we got the ball to the by-line 4 or 5 times with Heskey waiting in the middle, on each occassion the cross was either too high or too low - he wasn't given a chance imho.

Let's see if we can string two positive attacking performances together against Fulham on Sunday, with a first choice defence hopefully providing better cover than last night...... ???

Yeah, Diouff played well last night.

However, Hyppia struggled and we really need to get in another decent centre back.

When Diouf first came he struggled, but in towards the last few months of last season, he started to show some quality, and this season h's picked up were he left off, he works so hard for the team, and that really supprised me, i think his settled in nicely and is a better option than Murphy, only if he could stop trying to dribble the ball out of the box.

Two games and everything is rosy in the garden again. If this is not just another false dawn I shall be delighted, but I have my doubts. We havent even started our traditional pre christmas dip yet!

Have to actually get a run of form before you can have a dip I'm afraid, although I was delighted to see Didi Hamman back, he will offer the back four a lot of protection leaving Stevie G time to get forward

I know the result was the priority, but it was another inept preformence from LFC we made it hard for ourselves. The game should have been out of blackburns reach, at 4-1 but you can always rely on "generous lfc" to gift you goals! we will have to wait and see what atitude the team has on sunday before we get carried away with another false dawn? ???

I think we've all been Reds fans for too long to get carried away, a 15 game unbeaten run is what's really required (and that doesn't mean 3 wins and 12 draws either GH!!)......

Agreed. Diouff is improving, and if he can turn in a few more performances like that at Blackburn, he'll start to repay people's faith in him. However, he really needs to improve his shooting, which is simply dreadful.

I can see us going on a long winning run, but we'll suffer a bad dip again. I GUARANTEE it. Houllier has to go.

Spot On ! He has arguably been our best player this season , certainly the most improved. But his finishing does need to be more measured ! Mind you perhaps it is the coaching of le boss. When he signed Heskey he said he woild turn him into the complete forward and look how well that has gone.

I'm glad Diouf is proving all his doubters wrong.

I can't believe that the moderator of this forum deleted my thread "fan's club Diouf". What is your problem?...You don't like Diouf?. I noticed that 2 Diouf threads have been deleted. What's up with that?
