edit: what will happen to anfield then?

It's going to be demolished.

The club has to progress and the Stanley Park stadium is where we need to be.

to a lot of people the staduim will look no different to the one released last year and they would be right as it does in appearance, the difference comes in the materials used.

probably the difference in having a leather jacket to a pvc one.

i still love it but preferred the other.

They've ditched some of the metallic elements.

The end opposite the Kop has been extended.

The glass roof over that end has been ditched too.

Looks like a sleeker design. Lots of glass providing huge amounts of natural light.

Awesome. Hopefully it won't sink the club.

ive noticed aswell that a row of executive boxes have been axed, now that does surprise me.

not sure if the kop in the new design is smaller or bigger than the original, if you look at the disabled viewing area they are at different levels, but im sure both where meant to be at ground level, maybe we wont be digging down so far this time around.

also smaller glass panes will save alot of money.

Business is business.

I'm sure Starbucks make nice coffee.

I'd eat at home before the match.

On the pitch yes.

Off the pitch, commercialisation is a fact of life.

We either embrace it, or get left behind.

Wasn't the last design gonna incorporate lots of this eco-friendly shite as well? Things like collecting rain water for the bogs and other technology that would help the stadium sustain itself. No doubt being chums of good ol' G.W.B they've probably said fuck the environment lets use good old ozone killing methods that'll leave a bigger carbon footprint than your average small town.

i'm sure you'll forgive me if i decline the offer of embracing cynical profiteering aimed at the club's supporters

You don't have to buy a coffee at Stanley Park.

I'm sure a fan can go 90 minutes without a mocha latte.

indeed, but cheap pies & sh*te 50p tea are the bedrock of english football (just try going to any non-premiership game for proof)

Screw the cheap pies.

A Big Mac would be preferable.

With some fries and a coke, because Manhattan hates milkshakes.
