Liverpool's New Stadium

How the mighty are falling  :buttrock

We already said we wouldn't share our new stadium with Everton, let alone theirs.

Well the way that your owners are running your club, you will be playing on the park with the under 14's as you will have so much debt.....

if they were running it that bad they'd have kept going with building a stadium that's costs are increasing. instead they're reassessing the plans to make a more cost-efficient stadium.

sounds sensible to me  ???

cost-efficient... haha .....

What you really mean is that they are going back on what they say they where going to do to give you a crappy stadium, that may seat 70,000, but with :censored: facilities.

Thats like comparing a Porsche and a Skoda... they might both seat 4 people, but which one would you want to drive around in....

Is all down hill now you have American owners. They got a debt free club, now they are going to make Livepool about £500 Million pounds in debt.... I can feel another Leeds United coming along. It only needs for liverpool to finish 5th instead of 4th for a couple of seasons then they will be in big trouble. (thats what happended to Leeds)

No more money for Bentiez......
Selling all your best players.

There are 3 groups in the premiership

Chelsea - Arsneal - Man Utd

Liverpool

Everybody Else

Liverpool have self proclaimed that they are a top 4 club but in reality there are only 3 top clubs + Liverpool and now all the other clubs are catching up with Liverpool i.e Man City, Blackburn, Everton, Portsmouth etc.....

Soon it will be only the top 3 clubs - Man Utd - Arsn - Chelsea then everybody else. It all went down hill the day you got American owners.... Why do you think that Arsn dont want to be taken over... because the same would happen to them.

You may think I am here writing this post to take the p**s, but if you look closely on what I am writing, you know I am making sense.

Liverpool where a top 4 side, but with your upper Management, its all falling to pieces. They dont care about your club (as they are hardly here), they dont care about your supporters, they dont even care about the stadium that you are going to be playing in.....thats why you are getting a Skoda for your stadium instead of a porsche.

Your Post doesnt make any sense at all. Firstly, you said that Liverpool is outside the top 3. Please look at the final league table standing last season for reference.

Secondly, you said that the likes of Man City, Portsmouth etc are catching up. Do make that judgement at the END of this season.

Lastly, you said that our management is in shambles. Do you have concrete evidence or you are just feeding off from the press's :censored:? I think the latter cos your arguments are :censored:.

Make constructive comments instead of barging in here and making yourself look like a fool.

haha.;.. yeah lets wait till the end of the season when either Benitez will get sacked or he will walk out...

Have you noticed how Valencia are doing :censored: after Benitez left them, I think he will be heading back there in the summer.

Well after the latest reports, looks like you are not getting a stadium after all haha.....

So much for your faith in your upper management :D  :D

There is more chance of England winning the world cup than Liverpool getting a stadium.

Hey, I am only stating the facts.

This is what was send BEFORE the American took over

a) Liverpool was promised a new stadium that would be one of the best in Europe.
b) Bentitez would be given millions to spend on new players
c) The American would treat Liverpool with 100% respect.

in reality

a) Liverpool are getting an cheap Aldi version of a stadium that may set 70,000 people, but with all the trimmings taken away.
b) No money for new players
c) Americans are treating Liverpool as a business first and dont give a :censored: about the supporters.

Its not my fault that the truth hurts....

Which one of the a,b,c that have i said is incorrect? ???

well you got a, b and c wrong :D

a) the stadium plans were completely reworked and improved under the ownership of G&H. Even if the plans are scaled back it's an imrovement on what we were getting before they bought the club.

b) No money for new players? So we got Torres, Babel, Benayoun, Lucas etc all for free did we? They paid for those players.

c) They've constantly reassured fans of their importance. In fact, they redeveloped the new stadium plans specifically to be based around a new kop FOR THE FANS.

Any more untruths you want to spout before you get banned?

Well you can be gullible as much as you want and let the Americans take the micky out of Liverpool supporters by saying it will be ready in 2012 ... yeah right....

Liverpool have been planning it for EIGHT YEARS!!!!!!

A college student could plan an design a stadium in 6 months... not EIGHT YEARS!!!

Its funny how this forum works haha,,, you dont like what people have to say, so you try and ban them...  How sad is that. You rather stick your heads in the sands and hope it will get better when in reality, the Americans are shafting you up the :censored: without even wearing a condom......

Truth is... even if your stadium does get built buy 2012, you will walk inside and be thinking to yourself...I wonder what the orginal stadium would have looked like.

They have called your stadium :censored: even before it is built.

it's funny how the things you criticise G&H for not doing are the things they have done.

A college student could design a stadium in 6 months?

Maybe they could. G&H employed new architects who did just that for us. The original plans you keep referring to were a generic bowl design which were discarded by G&H. The new design was produced so that it would fit into the original's planning permission.

Yes, the costs have risen but thankfully the owners are intelligent enough not to pay these costs but instead find a more viable solution. (saving the club money? what a radical idea  :suspect: )

you seem to be clutching at straws with your arguments. whenever you're proved wrong you resort to childish responses. If you want to come to another club's forum and criticise at least get your facts straight.

back what you say up with evidence and you'll get reasonable discussion. keep talking bollocks and you'll get banned.

If the stadium costs were threatening our ability to compete in the transfer market, then it's absolutely the right decision to scrub the plans and rethink.

Yes, we need a new stadium, but not if it means 5 years of scrabbling around for Bosman freebies.

I bet this course of action will sting the pride of Hicks and Gillett as much as it's annoyed a lot of us, but in the long run I definitely think it's the smart move.

The real question here is exactly how the costs shot up. Did they get £s and $s mixed up?

Its useless talking to :censored: like "gslick". It'll fuel up their egos even more.

Right now, we should leave it to the directors, managers, coaches to do their stuff behind the scenes and on the pitch. What we should do as die-hard Liverpool supporters is to continue our support for them thru thick and thin.

It doesnt matter if our stadium is 70,000, 60,000 or even 10,000. Anfield sits 45,000 and we sound like 100,000 people during European nights. So what if the design is " :censored:". Even if they were asked us to stand on quicksand, I would still go and give my full support. Liverpool's identity is about passion and unwavering spirit to succeed. We cannot be materialistic overnight just because our stadium is "less pretty" than others. There are no trophies for pretty stadiums!

Rome wasn't built in a day and I'm sure that we will do it. I don't care how long it takes as long as one day Liverpool will be up there where they truly belong. No matter which manager, coach, director etc. Liverpool Football club will be my club.

What's one of the first rules of business? Don't promise what you can't deliver and that's exactly what Hicks, Gillett and Coco have done.  The stadium costs have been spiralling for years and if you look back over some of Parry's quotes from around 2003 till now, their are a lot of contradictions. It's making us look amateur off the pitch and tbh with Parry I wouldn't suspect anything less. If anyone needs to be sacked ASAP it's him, not Rafa.

I'd love us to stay at Anfield forever but I know it's probably not going to happen and this new stadium fiasco has been going on for far too long, it needs sorting ASAP and I am doubtful whether Parry can deliver.

I'd be interested to see exactly how they intend to change the present design.

It's mainly glass with very little concrete. The stadium is 90% transparent and looks light in terms of construction.

I wonder what will be changed.

I have to agree with you; i know it's not the liverpool way but for once i think we do need a shake up as Parry's proved time and time again that he isn't a business man. We need someone who can build a brand make 'quick' decisions and make them 'effectively'- both things he doesn't seem to grasp. Maybe he likes being the gimp to the American's but surely they want to feel they've left the club in the hands of someone who can help them build it- something parry's been unable to do for years. Liverpool ARE the greatest club in the world and how he struggled to find us investors years ago when our competitors were going past us (in terms of revenue and league cups) is beyond me.

well if it's to save on steel then they could get rid of the big forcefield that went over the Kop and jsut make a wall. TBH as nice as the old design was i don't mind too much what the ouside looks like as long as the inside is the best in the country. We don't want a bowl!! Please don't give us a supermarket ground we want four distinctive stands with the Kop being the biggest.
