I've got it, but I'm not that impressed. It's too arcadey for me. I'll have to trade it in for Forza 2.

PGr4 is an arcade style game mate, if you want a Gran Turismo type game then you wanna go for Forza 2  :;):

PGR4 is still a cracking game though  :nod

Not really sure about splashing the cash to get this game. There are many cracking titles coming out, so I want to spend wisely and get the better ones first. There's Pro Evo 08 in a few days (monster game for online craic) which is a absolute must have. Then there is Mass Effect, COD 4, Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, and a few more I can't remember. So long as I get Pro Evo and Mario, I'll be as happy as a pig in sh*t.

Depends what you want mate, obviously if you want an FPS PGR4 won't feel your gaming habit but if you wanna play some fun racing then PGR is a great game, it's better than PGR3 but I dunno if it's as good as PGR2 cos 2 was one of the most fun driving games ever outside of Mario Kart.

I'm not convinced by the Orange Box, their isn't enough gameplay footage of Assasins Creed and Mass Effect isn't my thing but I'll be interested in getting COD4.

Well, against my better judgement ive gone and bought PGR4. The distinctions between it and FM2 are irrelevant (apart from the fact they both are Driving games). Forza bored me to death by the time i'd got to level 50. Great game and all that..but its just - dull. Traded Bioshock and Gears in for this though...and so far, its a blast!

Loving the bikes btw

btw Paul. Don't wait to be convinced by Orange Box - you really are missing out on a stupendous package mate. No game in history develops a story along the lines that the HL series does. Truly and utterly absorbing from start to finish. The PORTAL mini game is quality. TF2 isn't exactly as i'd hoped, but it is still damn good fun and a 'different' experience to the H3 multiplayer - more team orientated and thus, a bit more enjoyable considering there aren't nearly as many ar5eholes playing it. (Well, none ive come across) they all seem keen to explain it to the new guy.

Seriously, OB is a must have title imo.

These weather effects. Are they track specific, or can you turn em on and off at will? I dont see an option in the menu.
While im here...

Where is the Michelin Test track?

You can turn the different types of weather on but you so it in the 'against the clock' section, you can't just turn the weather on at will in the career mode and have to 'get what your given'.

Since I bought PGR4 I haven't had enough time to play it cos my cousin was here at the weekend then Monday night friends were over and last night I fell asleep, tonight I'll be watching the match from 19:30 but from 17:30 I'll be nailing some PGR4.

I'm finding it very different to PGR3, you have to think a lot more compared to PGR3 where you could just throw your car into corners without worrying.  :oh:

Yeah ive sussed out the weather stuff...some of the effects are nice. Also, when you reach at least level 60 in career the Michelin Test track automatically unlocks.

Anyone think some of the achievements are pi55 easy to get. Ive got 9 in my first couple of hours! (I'll have to ask daxy about the rest!) - which are bound to be nigh on impossible after this easy start!!

Overall, im fairly impressed by it. Having not played PGR2/3 i probably should be...Beats FM2 for fun hands down. But im not sure about these car packs...when exactly is the best time to take the plunge and spend your Kudos?

Just a quikkie, i have recently sent my 360 back to microsoft for repair as I got the three red lights..

I have had the console 10 months and am a bit annoyed it has failed so quickly, it is kept well ventilated ect....

What are other peoples experiences? And also what is the standard of service you get from the repairer, I will be without a piece of kit that cost me a lot of money for three weeks - do they recompense you at all??

Two of my mates have sent them back, one got a new one within 10 days and the other had to wait about 5 weeks, but on saying that he sent it back just as they announced the warrenty extention and their was a massive backlog.  ???
