aswell as PS3's

Well, when you get massive slowdown on games like Pro Evo 08 for PS3 where none really exists on the 360 version, you have to wonder. I'm really starting to think that PS3 is just a talked up piece of sh*t. Not a biased view. Loved the first two consoles, but this one Sony f*cked up massively.

Yeh the Microsoft Venture has no faults, Doesn't matter what console you have it's a F@cking console a stinking as$ games machine, it's a laugh with your kids if you have them not life or death i couldn't give a monkeys ar$e flap about pros and cons.

It's all a laugh, mate. The fact that I even contested what you said is a laugh if you think about it. It's just like the debate you had when you were a kid in the playground about Sega and Nintendo, Mario and Sonic. It's still good to at least keep a little bit of that childish nature. Keeps you young at heart.

Though I've been buying these things for most of my life now, I've come to learn that being a particular fan of a company is just daft. The c*nts just want your coin and that's it. The 360 will be forever remembered as a massive balls up for the state of their hardware. Not for what it's capable of, but for the mechanical failures of things. It's just a disgrace and MS should be ashamed to be selling what I regard as a pile of shyte as far as hardware manufacturing is concerened. Still, they got the other side of things correct, the games, and for that they have to be respected. This is the side Sony should be ashamed of. They talked up their supposed super console to the extent that people bought it thinking it was a far superior machine to that of MS's console. It was even touted to be 10 times more powerful. Nothing but PR lies, right down to the target render demo's shown 2 years ago at E3, to the Cell chip nonsense. I just never could understand how people still buy into their hype long after it's been there to see that it was all just talk.

Not gonna get Pro Evo this year.  played the demo and well I hate the speed on the 360 version.  its like pinball soccer plus I have seen vids where the same CPU cheats are in it which have been in the game for 4 years now.  Master League is still a joke and no online leagues.

There is other games I would rather spend my money on for my 360, DS and Wii.  PES needs a whole new engine!

There is other games I would rather spend my money on for my 360, DS and Wii.  PES needs a whole new engine!

Honestly, the fella that made that video didn't have a point to make at all whatsoever. If anything, he was just being overly pedantic and fussy about inane stuff that happens in the game. In fact, it can be argued that f*ck up in AI of the players in the game is what makes the game great as you tend to see different things happen every so often. This is nothing to moan about. The fella who made this video really should get a life.

Pro Evo is an awesome game, and has no peer. End of. Football is a complex sport, and Pro Evo has been the only game to get it right for a computer game. Fifa isn't even close, even if the new version did borrow heavily from the Pro Evo format and way of playing, it's still not even as good and that speaks volumes for Konami and Seabass.

Well Ive been weighing up the pros and cons...and settled for the ps3. The only reason being, its the only console hosting the new GRAN TURSIMO 5 , when it eventually appears that is. I still think the best has yet to come.
In the meantime i have the formula one game and another called Resistance -Fall of Man whic is still unopened

whatever serves you better, listen to the kids in the sweetshop trying to convince you there lolly pop is the best, at the end of the day just think what will last you Longer? have you got all day to sit on a console? then base your prefrence on those facts.

In any case it don't matter what you get it just make sure you like it and it serves your purpose .

But them flaws have been in the game for 4 years now. it is Blatent CPU cheating.  I don't understand why there is pro evo fans who don't want to admit the game has flaws etc.  No wonder Konami are giving us a PS2 engine in HD and calling it next gen.

I like FIFA 08 and think it plays well. the FIFA physics are way ahead of PES 2008.  in FIFA they also have manual passing/shooting that craps all over the scripted system in PES.

Until Sebass creates a real next-gen engine them flaws will always remain.

You're spot on here. This is where Sony have dropped the ball big time with this system. Overly concerned about how much useless tech they can cram into a a machine and forgetting why the thing exists in the first place. Sony also fail to realize that most people today already have an all-in-one system called a PC.

When you look at Nintendo and what they've done with the Wii, it doesn't have all this hyped up bollox like Blu-ray, HD, HDMI ports, etc etc. It just does what it says on the tin, and all that success being as underpowered as it is. Nintendo have gone full circle and done what Sony done 13 years ago with the original PSX - they've targeted the core audience of the passive gamer and the casuals out there, though slightly neglecting the purists that grew up with them making them what they are and not releasing many proper true titles that can get the hardcore frothing at the mouth, so it has to be said that Wii on my perspective is a little bit disappointing.

Still, cast you mind back a year or more ago when the beast that is PS3 was announced and Nintendo coming off the back of the disaster that was NGC and announcing "Revolution" and you;d have laughed off any notion that it would be where it is today - kicking PS3 all over the show in all territories - especially you would have laughed that off when you heard it's given name being Wii. Who'd have thunk it?

360 is market leader (albeit by a small amount and won't be after Christmas) and is there on merit based solely on the strength of it's software titles and Live. MS is catering for the hardcore and the masses that Sony neglected. They are losing franchises that  once solely belonged to the PS brand and shipping to MS. Games like GTA are no longer getting a 6 month release ahead of any other system thanks to MS, and if anything, if the rumors are true, it was Sony's system that held that game back from being already on the shelves for those of us that own a 360. Apparently the machine is a nightmare to program for, much like the PS2 was. Sony didn't learn the mistakes made there.

Stick to what got you in the market in the first place, Sony! The PSX was great and has made the industry what it is today. PS2 continued on, but Sony were making c0ck-ups. PS3's failures seemed to be born from those c0ck-ups. It's a video game industry, and not a multi-function pay-for-extra-sh*t-you don't want one.
