Leafing through some old photos , found this one from the 70's , that little cargo boat behind me is about the size of a mersey ferry , it was about to take me from Borneo to Singapore.

The f'ucking thing sunk 3 months later.

wow kuching, in east malaysia, i have been there many times and its a nice small town to be fair (i was shagging a malay girl there), I also went to the rain forest music festival there a few years back.

(i am talking about the boat being registered in kuching. which is also the malay word for cat funnily enough, so the dog was on a cat

) and for those that don't know east malaysia is on the island of borneo which consists of malaysia, indonesia and brunei if i am not mistaken and contains the oldest rain forest in the world and is where orangutans come form (orang is the malay word for person or human)

anyway woof i am impressed with the bay city rollers haircut, all thats missing is the tartan down the side of your jeans

It was a touch of nerves PWee, I'd booked my passage at some little chinese hardware store in Kuala Belait . Wasn't the first time i'd taken passage on a cargo boat so felt ok about things but when I pitched up at the dock and saw the f'ucking rust bucket I was gonna sail the South China sea in the thought "How long can you tread water ?" perculated through my entire being.

The journey to Singapore was only supposed to take 3 days , it took 5 , there were Vietnamese boat people going faster than us !

Like I said earlier the bloody thing sank a couple of months later doing the same trip.
