There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I went for...rafa should prioritise the league more because he evidently never last week and thats were the problems imo started.

Stick on another option in the list "Who decides whether a topic should be locked or not...".
Just tried to post and it was locked - any reason why the Carling Cup Reading vs. LFC is locked ?

Feel free to start a Post Match thread Bungle (if there isn't one already).

Actual match threads are being closed after several hours as they've usually descended into something else by then. Hopefully a fresh post match thread in the a:m will get minds back on track.

Alright Woof Woof mate...
You're right about the "descending into chaos" comment....the Reading v LFC one is actually quite laughable....lots o' handbags at ten paces etc...

I think the poll says it all, while we are unbeaten which is one popular vote we have dropped four points in the last two games and so people who voted "prioritise the league more" are possibly/probably aware we are unbeaten but nil-nil against Birmingham isn't good enough and even the "get a grip" brigade must appreciate that.

And I think it is about time so people who are going to get match threads closed should be warned and maybe even banned, these are getting closed before some of us even get a chance to comment. If you can't accept other people's viewpoints then you must be some kind of idiot to come on a DISCUSSION BOARD where opinions will differ

A reasonable observation Owzat but in reality even the most sage amongst us can get carried away with passion be it positive or negative immediately following a game .

As mentioned earlier a match thread maybe closed .This doesn't prevent anyone from starting a post match thread when passions have hopefully cooled and constructive discussion can recommence.

Or get annoyed when we make an innocent post about nothing much and receive an unprevoked attack!
I don't usually attack people call them names or abuse them, maybe thats why when I receive abuse I sometimes over react.

While I think the Mods do a difficult job very well on the whole, I think more attention should be given to the trouble starter rather than the person who very naturally takes offence. I know in a lot of instances the actual cause of the problem is unsure or unclear, BUT where the problem is clearly started by one side surely this is where the Mods should direct their attention.

I am probably living in a dream world but worth a stab. Any Mod that would rather PM me, rather than answer in open forum is welcome to do so.

I’ve gone for the ‘Get a Grip’ option, I can understand why there has been concern, but I felt quite a few people overreacted to recent events and should we beat Wigan (I expect this will be the case) then those people who threw tantrums last week will no doubt be the first supporters to celebrate a continued unbeaten run.

I had to laugh last week at the overreaction, sure I was bitterly disappointed, but those who flew off the handle, need to realise the team has played just six Premiership games, there is still another thirty two to be played and Arsenal are only four points ahead of the team.

I hope last night helped build confidence and intelligence which was clearly void within the people who threw tantrums on Saturday.

There are occasions Saint when mods may fail to appreciate the spark that caused the fire.Very often even when a small fire has started after a few exchanges it dies down as the parties involved laugh at themselves , agree to disagree or just leave it. Speaking for myself , when something has escalated into a full blown flame war I can't really be ar'sed to trawl back through shi't loads of posts to establish who started it . we're not kids in here and as a mod my aim is not to turn this into some kind of sunday school. If you don't like what some has says , ignore it and report the post.

What else can I tell you ?
