I am concerned we've drawn three games in a row although only one of them we should have won (Birmingham at home) I'm not one of those who thinks Rafa should go but I am interested in how people currently feel, hence the poll

Some decent options that gives us the chance to set the record straight.
I went for...rafa should prioritise the league more because he evidently never last week and thats were the problems imo started.

I really think you are missing hte trick with Rafa mate, and I mean no offence there.

I hear on the grapevine he might just play Torres and Gerrard tonight, and if he does I think it will be more an example of the fact he takes every game for itself rather than he is prioritising the League Cup.

I thought a poll might help since some people are reading more into people's posts than there is to be read. If I could vote I'd plump for "Rafa needs to prioritise the league more" since that is what he was brought in for. How long he gets is a more difficult question, the problem being the mancs and Chelsea still have more funds so he is not competing on a level playing field. He wasn't at Valencia but the situation was different. It was great he won the Champions League, however to me that is achieving in the wrong order and the aim hasn't changed. If we start changing the aim then you have to ask what the point in setting the aim was.

I have heard that is the case and again it makes things even more puzzling for me.
I am definately missing something if they play tonight.
Although after him hardly playing i will enjoy seeing him back on the pitch.

I'll be even more pis sed off if we lose a played like Torres, Gerrard or Carragher in a cup competition we clearly aren't taking too seriously and rightly so at this stage of the season.

Premiership - priority number one and maybe two, we haven't won it in a long time

Champions League - let's give it more priority when it gets to the last sixteen or QFs, unless something goes badly wrong in the group stages. That doesn't mean fielding weakened sides, but we do only need 10 points from 18

FA Cup - by the time it starts in January we may be out of the Carling Cup and maybe even Europe so the situation will be a lot clearer. We may draw a ba stard of a team like we did last year, this is a competition we should take seriously but it doesn't happen until early next year

Carling Cup - while you shouldn't put all your eggs in one basket it is difficult to put out your best side in three concurrent competitions.  We'll have played in three different competitions inside near enough a week which is ludicrous, this is the least important of the three no matter what anyone says and it is impractical to try and win all three. Let's field a weaker side and see how far we get, by the time the QFs and SFs come around Europe will be on a break and the FA Cup just starting. By then we'll either be in contention or out of contention for the Premiership

In a nutshell I think someone needs to review WHEN these competitions are played as teams in Europe will not welcome an untimely competition. Even sides in a relegation dogfight may field a weakened side, they just don't know whether they'll be safe in four months time or still fighting relegation and no side wants injuries or fatigue

He is doing my head in a bit, yes its great that we do well in the CL, but most of the UK forget about that i 1 week. Win the prem and we can fly a flag for a whole year.

I would love for us to win the Champions League again, but I would settle for getting knocked out the group stage if it meant us winning the Premier League.
Rafa needs to prioritise the league more with Torres, Gerrard and Carragher (our 3 best players) playing in at least 80% of the league games!

Tonight I would like to see youngsters but with experienced players so they get experience but also guidance on the pitch.

I cant say Im thrilled with the two draws and I have a slight feeling that its too much rotation but going on the last few seasons we have finished strongly.  Now its not a disaster at all this season so far and a win next time round puts us there or there abouts and when the CL kicks in properly and we are reasonably fresh in the league I have the confidence that we will be strong.

I dont think that over the top reactions in September are worth paying too much attention to, although a win against Birmingham would have made me happier

Oh and the booing in Anfield, whats that about, just makes me agree with Leon and the whole reclaim the Kop thing

The rotation last year in the Premier League was perhaps the worst, especially towards the end of the season. Remember our trip to Craven Cottage? Disgraceful, and I think the Fratton Park and a few others were filled with complete reserves - games which we didn't win!
Although hopefully by the April period in the season, we are in there with a realistic chance of grabbing the Premier League title!

I voted for "Lets get a grip people....."

The season has only just started its the best start to a season for years. Lets remember this is Liverpool Football Club the most successful club in English football teams like the Birmingham's and the Reading's still come to Anfield and play for a draw sometimes they play well enough or we play below par and they get the draw its going to happen. The result at the weekend does not dampen my faith in Rafa. We now have the squad to compete with the rest for the Premiership.
As for the result in Europe 1-1 away to a side who rarely gives anything away at home was a great result just the way we played was not what we expect but getting a result playing ugly does me. So lets get behind Rafa and the team and lets get a grip.

If this happens I'll seriously laugh my b@llocks off. Not because it's a funny thing, but because it's a really good joke on Rafa's behalf. He will be taking the p*ss if he does.

Oh, and I went for that he needs to prioritise the league more.

Anyone who says he has to go is being far too hasty.
Wait til we come 4th before you say that! :D
