As I'm sure you are aware, in the big interviews on the offal they always ask the players being interviewed who would be in their 5-a-side team. They're also asking this question on a few other Liverpool forums:

So it's simple, who'd be in yours and why?

I'd have to go for this:

Reina
Agger
Gerrard
Benayoun
Torres

Agger is in there because of his footballing ability at bringing the ball out from defence obviously. Gerrard has to be in there because he's well, Gerrard. Benayoun is an extremely intelligent user of the ball and Torres is the ideal guy to have upfront.

As Rafa would say, we have many possibilities.

Gerrard
Kewell
Torres

Why ? Hmmm Reina because we need a goalkeeper, Finnan because he is a solid defender and has good ball dstribution. Gerrard because he's one of the best players in the world, Kewell because he has pace, skill and the technical ability to play well in a five-a-side match, and Torres to bang in the goals as well as what Kewell offers.

I know there's no defenders their but momo can handle that side of things. Babel's got the tricks, Gerrard's got the skills and Crouch's deft little touches would be great in a 5aside team.

id wouldnt pick any defenders as its 5- aside
id pick mascherano and gerrard at the back tidying up and setting the pace of te game, with babel in a free role using his skill and close control to make space in tight areas, and torres up front leading the line

Aggers a good defender who can bring the ball forward
Gerrard is always in any team
We're spoil for midfielders but I'll go for Masha
and Torres to lead the line

In five a side footie you can not have players that are too specialized and therefor I choose three hardworking all around peeps and one killer "Torres".

Anyhoo...
My team would be thus:

Reina

Carragher

Alonso Gerrard

Torres.

That team would win most games, I reckon.

...And I'll tell you for why:

Pepe - the best we've got, quite simply.

JC - Dogged determination and great positional sense means he's the defender of choice in a pressured environment. Good with the ball at his feet, too.

Xabi - most cultured, stylish midfielder on our books, and virtually impossible to dispossess. Has an eye for goal from any range, and can also create with slick passing and vision.

Gerrard - How could you not have him in your team?

Torres - Fast as funk, and able to create scoring opportunities for himself and others, as well as score them. Seems to have a real football intelligence, too.

Subs:

Benayoun, Agger, Kewell, Mascherano, Kuyt.

Reina - no questions needed
Riise - five a side is very important to have players with good stamina plus Riise has a powerful shot on him so wud get us a couple of goals
Gerrard - again good engine and its gerrard really..
Kuyt - Will work hard and track back for the team plus he can create too
FT9 - Our best striker. Great all round player

5a side football is indoor football? the one played with a smaller ball and not over grass?

id play rush keeper, with Risse in goal but able to make runs. Masherano would play defence/midfield with babel and gerard in front and Kuyt up front. Torres couldnt handle 5 a side i reckon. maybe play some scramble keeper if time!!
