Rafa fights back - Echo

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Well in Rafa. This is another bolox decision from the FA: how can it be that Heinze has a letter saying he can leave Utd for £6.8m, and doesn't stipulate that it can't be to Liverpool, and yet an assurance from David Gill that he told Heinze verbally is enough to sway them in Utd's favour. Under law, this just doesn't stack up.

Soon as I read that Utd were sending Fergie down to the FA with Gill the result was a foregone conclusion. Those muppets bend over backwards for Utd. Same with signing Anderson this summer. By rights, he shouldn't have been given a work permit, cos he's Brazilian national and hasn't played enough times for his country. So what do Utd do? Send Fergie to the FA to plead special circumstances cos 'Anderson is such an exciting talent.' And they get him just like that.

And those early kick-offs last year - twice as many as the next team? That's a joke.

This whole thing stinks, and Rafa is right to bring it into the open. Not only right, but his timing is right too. Do it now while there's still time to influence  future decisions – transfer window, appeal over Heinze, scheduling of kick-offs, yes, even refereeing decisions. I'm as old-fashioned as they come with footballing values, but it's time to shelve the nice guy image and do what Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal all do as a matter of routine - throw our weight around on and off the pitch.

F*** the lot of them.

AB -welcome- mate, I'm going to be honest.

This is a statement

"Liverpool fans are the worst of the world"

This is a question

"Can someone explain me why we have to play twice early KOs"?

Liverpool had to hear things like the former, and I did not see anybody but the club and the fans defending their name, correct me if I'm wrong and some league staff guy defended us.

The latter is just a question. Classless would be "We're being fúcked week in week out".

There is nothing wrong with what Rafa has said, it is all true. We have had the most early kickoffs, a distinct disadvantage, every single minute of recovery and preparation is vital when each game is decided on tiny details.

It is true that the move to Manu of Tevez was completed in record time, in comparison to the Masher transfer. The delay was only because West Ham would not sanction it, the actual transfer was completed in days. Any paperwork relating to Masher should not have accelerated the Tevez deal, because of the amount of controversy around Tevez in regard to the payment to WHU and the Sheffield Utd appeals and Court case the transfer should have been painstakingly looked over to ensure it was watertight, there was plenty of time, but no, when that Red faced Kunt clicks his fingers the ar5ewipes at the Premier league come running.

It is pathetic the Premier league has not sanctioned the move of Hienze, he has an agreement to sell him. This is not about whether a Club doesn't want to sell, they do. The fee that they want has been met, and there was nothing in his contract or letter to state it must be a foreign transfer. This rubbish that Manu don't sell to their rivals, so what was the sale of Veron to Chelsea then? Any big team in Europe would also be a rival, they could quite easily face Madrid, Juventus in the Champions League.

Anyone who thinks Rafa has let himself down is talking Shit, its about time we let it be known we won't take anymore cr@p, it's about time we started to pressurise the authorities and referees like Mourinho and Fergie have been doing for years, if it gains us the smallest of advantages it will help.

Additionally IMHO i think that Rafa may be trying to instill a seige mentality within the Club, that everyone and everything is against our success, and that will encourage greater team spirit and fight. Rafa is fighting our corner and defending our Club, and we should be united behind him.

I'm not saying it's classless, but it's very un-like Rafa. I don't like excuses, and while the early kick off part is true, ''we're fighting for the title but we have disadvantages'' is not what I want hear from our manager.

Sounds like what Mourinho would say.

I don't see it as excuses, I see it more like putting some pressure on the league next time they have to make decissions. And I think that if you do that privately it's lost in burocracy, but all burocrats no matter where they live hate to give explanations to the press so they'll have pressure next time they make the fixtures.

I see your point, though. It's not Mourinho-esque though, because Mourinho wouldn't surprise you because he moans often, Rafa rarely does it, it's a matter of timing.

Bit of siege mentality can't do any harm.

I prefer the new rafa (with his bad a$$ attitude and not forgetting his goatee too)

We have been too nice for a while now...Time to kick some a$$.......

I hope he is, in public in front of those assclowns at the FA, what a shower of sh1t they really are!!
I'm fuming over this decision, does it actually say in the contract with Heinze that he can't be sold to Liverpool, unless it explicitly says that then how the hell can the FA "expert" panel sanction this. BTW Shouldn't this panel be made up of successful people not looser clubs like Leeds and Sheffield Utd who probably hate us anyway, ad certainly have limited recent experience of football at a high level :wwww

I can actually see this case becoming another Bosman, surely a club can't pick and choose where a player goes, it is actually fairly dodgy in terms of human rights etc but the whole thing of clubs "owning players" is. Why can't players just be employed by clubs, at the top level all clubs are businesses nowadays anyway, and I am certainly very happy that my employer doesn't own me. It must be such a :censored: situation for Heinze, but I would LOVE it if he had the balls to turn up for a Manure training session with a Liverpool top on, instant hero status at Liverpool.  :bowdown  :bowdown  :buttrock

Yeah......Its our time to be in the spot light now.

Manure and Chelsea have walked all over us for a while now. They always get favorable decisions (be it from the premier league or refs).

Remember the time when manure decided to skip the FA cup ? Shouldn't they have been suspended from the FA cup for 10 years or something like that ?

And as for mourinho..everytime a ref gives a somewhat bad decision again chelsea, he is out there making a big deal of it. And then in the next match, they get a lot of decisions in their favour.

Its time for rafa to play the same game.... The new rafa kicks major a$$...  :bowdown

Sabre's spot on, AB (welcome back, BTW, mate! :D )...because Rafa is not a serial whinger like Jose, the rant carries more credibility.  He's usual the model of control and does not actively court controversy so to see him lose his rag like this sends a timely message about how Liverpool are being treated.  Timely in a number of ways: besides the Heinze decision, we've just come off of Styles' supreme c.ock-up and we have an early kick off away to Sunderland on Saturday after a spate of international friendlies.

In fact, Rafa mentioned the friendlies specifically in his complaint about kick-off times and it adds even more weight to what he's saying: while the likes of Crouch will be playing at Wembley tonight, Torres, Alonso and Reina will be traveling to Greece, FFS!  With the bulk of our squad away on international duty, why are we the team to be kicking off early on Saturday? ???
