Torres song

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Credits to BHB from RAOTL on this one.

I really like this so I thought I'd put it up here.

The tune stolen from the Real Betis fans, who are singing in the following video: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=SchjZOWaIjg

Arrrriba arriba-aribba
Fernando Torres scores a goooallll
All the scousers on the Kop will go ballistic when Fernando Torres Scores another goal

It fits perfectly.

This is not the song yet, but I think it should be.

Class work from BHB

I would have thought that redoing ABBA's Fernando would have been the natural choice.

Can you hear the drums fernando?
I remember long ago another starry night like this
In the firelight fernando
You were humming to yourself and softly strumming your guitar
I could hear the distant drums
And sounds of bugle calls were coming from afar

They were closer now fernando
Every hour every minute seemed to last eternally
I was so afraid fernando
We were young and full of life and none of us prepared to die
And Im not ashamed to say
The roar of guns and cannons almost made me cry

There was something in the air that night
The stars were bright, fernando
They were shining there for you and me
For liberty, fernando
Though I never thought that we could lose
Theres no regret
If I had to do the same again
I would, my friend, fernando

sounds good, tho imo it isn't quite there yet. the last line doesn't fit somehow. just a slight change though, and it will be perfect.

One time, I saw a man looking at me, yes, with his eyes. And then, he, he picked up a tube. And he looked, in the tube, and he made the moon big, inside the tube. The moon big inside a tube! Waahaha... Aaah. Telescope.

Im with you mate just the chorus though, better the tune better the chant, be a waste not to use it, it could hark back to him scoring the winner in CL final 08. No reason not to warm it up though.
Dont judge a book by the cover, unless you cover just another, because blind exceptance is a sign,
Of stupid fools who stand in line......  Like..

Why dont use the same we have been using in the Calderón, Gloria Gaynor's song "Can´t take my eyes off of you". Its very easy, its a simbol for Torres, for him its familiar, and he likes it.
There is no lirycs but replace "I love you baby" with "Fernando Torres" and the rest of the main part (dou you say refrain?) of the song with a "dummy liryc".
