Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Pre season results don't matter.  what matters is whether the way we play  has changed.  we may have new players but if we play the same way, it will be the same as last season.

Supporting LFC doesn't mean we shouldn't crave for quality players...
Even if the spending stops here I'm there to support this team...but with the transfer window still open why can't we hope of landing a good winger FFS!!

And by the way even if Rafa plays a team of 11 Traore's I'll go support LFC..
So :censored: off ya buggers

LOL Yeah! Looked like something I made when I was in Primary school. Thank god we weren't photographed with that. Might have come back to haunt us if we win nothing at the end of the season. Doubt that, though.

Don't know if this has been mentioned already, but both Man Utd and Chelsea failed to impress today. And I don't think anyone will be doubting their abilities right now, it's pre season and hardly means anything. Just like Arsenal have had a good pre-season, but are a lot of peoples choice to miss out on 4th spot this year.

The only thing I'm worried about after this pre-season is whether or not Babel will make it as I don't think he's shown much so far, but even that view may become void once the real matches start.

Can anyone remember the debacle in the preseason of 3 years ago?

No you can't. Because nobody gives a fúck for preseason games. I understand that everybody wants to see Liverpool winning at any circunstances, if you want to win you can play against Shangai United. In those games the coachs care more about certain movements that have been trained are done correctly rather than the score. I've seen glorious preseasons that ended up in relegations, and I've seen draws against lower category teams in preseason that ended up in winning a league.

Why Torres is put wide? somebody asked as if that's the reason we lost. Torres was put wide just to test if that's a suitable option through out the season or in certain minutes, it doesn't mean more  than that. Just tests. Chill down!!

Absolutely, for example - us losing to FC Mainz 5-0 last year. Real world beaters they turned out to be in the season just past eh...

yes pre-season means nothing

what does mean something is the fact that we are still playing the same style

rafas style will not win the premiership......he has the centre mids far too deep

The Kuyt shot was definitely a goal.
