It takes some work (eg the Times could've listed the players in category order save you sifting through 400+ names to find your first choice 20 right backs) ,but more interesting than just being given a wad of cash to throw around.

I wish you had seperate lists to put strikers, midfielders etc in. Would make it a lot easier.

That's how they do it on NBA.com and it is much easier. But what I will say is that anything can happen with the draw n this one. The likelyhood that all of our top 20s or 40s are the same is slim at best, so we should get more of the players that we each want. In the basketball one, everyone makes pretty much identical lists so the draw is a bit tame. With this one, we should all get a few pleasent suprises.

Think you should've limited the league to maybe a dozen clubs . I mean who the f'uck wants their goalie to be their 20th pick ?

Right Im in, havnt got a clue what im at but if I end up with Drogba i'll swap him for Paletta, Bramble or, dare I say it, gulp, Gary Neville???

If the league isn't filled by August 10th, I'll reduce the club limit. You're right Woof, it might be better with fewer people, and our squads would all benefit. I can change the limit whenever, so if it's not full, we'll have to reduce it.

I'm in. One query

The method I'm using to rank my players is to list 40 strikers to start with, then put them in order of who I want the most, then after the 40 strikers, I select 20 left mids, and again do the same for that, then 40 mids etc, do you reckon this is a suitable method or not

Or should I just list the players i want the most (albeit they vary in position) in order of desirability

Thats the method I'm going with , but I'm adding a few extra names in each position e.g. 23 goalies instead of 20 'cause i'm still not sure of the substitute rules.

Ok, due to the lack of available players and the impending substitute problem, I have altered the league limit from 20 to 18. This should mean that the overall team quality will go up, and the subs will be of a higher standard too. This means that there are now just 8 places left, so if you're reading this and you want to play but haven't signed up yet, you might want to hop to it.
