Found this footage. It's the Dallas Cowboys stadium being built. Designed by the same company that is designing "Anfield Version 2.0"

:p

Virtual tour of that stadium. Nice interiors.

That middle one of the 'away end' looks very small. Perhaps that is where the main extension to the stadium will be rather than filling in the corners by the Kop. Then away fans will have half the stand as it is at the present. I suppose the numbers work out though. I mean the kop is 18k the two side must be close to 20k each which doesn't leave much at the away end (if the images are of the stadium at its 60k capacity).

WOW just back from a short break so only got to see many of the images today, what a fantastic looking stadium this is, so so sooooo much better than one we where previously looking to build.

lets hope we get the go ahead pretty quickly and there`s no problem with the application to increase the capacity within the build time.

pity they didnt go with the chequered kop it kind of grown on me, nevermind

The new owners really do deserve a big pat on the back for this, stunning.

They had a discussion about the new stadium on the radio today, it mentioned 50-60,000 on the season ticket list and 120 odd thousand with fan cards ? ( I'm sure some Stat Fan will have the EXACT figures )

They went on to ask will we get 80,000 ( eventually) for every game or will it just be the big games and a lot of empty seats for the not so glamorous ones , will it encourage our over seas fans to travel more often knowing they will get a seat.

Thoughts ?

As far as over seas fans attending games, I think it would be cool if there was an official unified foriegn supporters club that was in charge of taking requests and divying up the tickets in packages (that included travel, hotel, etc) that would make it more affordable for people in Asia and the States to watch games

Yep, that's definitely got to be the "future expansion" side.

I wonder what that big silver thing with the two LFC crests on it is hanging over the away end?

Scoreboard perhaps?

With the new pics it looks amazing. At first I couldn't work out why they'd shown the images they did at the launch but it's clearer now from the labelling of the new pics. The launch images are for the 68,000 seater version (which is unlikely to be finished in that form) and the new images are for the final 78,000 version.

I think the end with limited seating may be executive boxes etc. Not sure how revenue compares to seating in terms of the space used but an entire end of boxes would in theory bring in a fortune.

As for filling the stadium week in, week out, there's a simple solution: cheaper tickets that are easier to get. If there were £15 tickets (for example) to sit in the rafters then those who can't afford to go would jump at the chance even if it was against lesser teams.
