Maybe it's comparable to my Creative Zen V. Even before I had put any songs or pictures on it, it already said I had used some space. 500MB out of 4GB I think was already used.

Maybe something like that?

Right click on "my computer" choose "Manage", then choose "disk management".  You should see your hard drive on the right, and it will list out the partitions, as well as "unallocated space".  See if that's where your space is. You should be able to see if there is any problem there.

If there is no apparent problem, right click on recycle bin and chose properties, check that you havn't allocated too much to each drive (10% is more than enough)

Thanks for the attempt lads. Have gone through the drive with a fine tooth comb .Although I did claw back almost 1 gig from an "incomplete download file", it still appears there's a couple of gig unaccounted for, the search continues.

Actually , this could be the answer ,  I have  allocated 10% per drive the figure of 1.95 Gb reserved space on my C drive just about accounts for the missing spave. I never realised that the reserved space in the recycle bin would be listed as "used"

The penny has dropped .

Cheers Saint.

Is there anyone watching LFC games live through www.liverpoolfc.tv?
Could anyone give any comments?
There might be some problem for me to watch LFC games on TV next season, so I am thinking about other options.

not sure about LFC.tv as i have never signed up to the premium package.

However, just log on here, on match day. Locate the 'LFC v Whoever' thread and people usually post streaming sites.

Its trial and error to get a smooth streaming site, and sometimes the commentary is not in english, but at least you get to watch the game.

oh yeah, you may have to download an application to watch streams, eg sopcast. The links people post should explain it.

Thanks, babu!
If there is no other way, I'll have to try that.

Redman in Wales is moving to London.... can i change my name?

i'm not thinking of anything too elaborate... just Redman in London will do!

I can't find anywhere to do it in the control panel, personal settings etc - any ideas? - Can mods do that?

S@int, only LFC (maybe supersub) can do that (change names), the mods can't.

Good luck in London Redman!

I think you are right sabre :-

Screen Names
Sometimes, members find it easy to use their ISP username as a screen name for message boards and forums.  A name like fhju875676 does not look attractive and doesn’t really give you an identity.  Those who log on to the forum in this way and who want to change their screen name must PM the administrator of the site LFC.   This only applies to new members who feel they’ve made a mistake.  Older members who just feel like a change will not be indulged.  There is flexibility on this rule but it will be at the discretion of the moderators and administrator.
