i just read his (the author) basis of chosing the players. These are the top 50 players you would want to build a team for the 2007/8 season, and i assume beyond. So i guess the older players got shunted down the list.

Its not purely based on form.

still as s@int said there are some players in that list i'd love to see sign for LFC.

The clown Beckham is in the top 50?

Ronaldo - who had one good game all season against decent opposition (Roma), ever see him tear a good team apart?

Lampard?

Ever see Totti play well in a big match? rubbish in World cup too

This list is a f*cking joke

Big Niall you have lost your head a bit there. Ronaldo was awesome and if we had him i dare say we would have been holding the prem up. He is that good!

That list can't be taken seriously, Essien above Gerrard? What is Tevez doing in the top 10? only had a dozen good games this season.

Also, why is Eto'o 4th if Henry is out of the top 10 because he hasn't played since March? Eto'o has been injured most of the season as well.

My list

1. Kaka
2. Ronaldo
3. Drogba
4. Gerrard
5. Van Nistlerooy
6. Totti
7. Messi
8. Ronaldinho
9. Henry
10. Eto'o

Yeh i agree with you there weringo but i would have essien in there for eto'o just because of his injury that put him out for a few months. Essien was chelski best all year.

I was talking about the ability to play well against good opposition. I don't think he was that good against us, Chelsea or Arsenal in the league and disappeared against Milan in the semis.

Perfect for the league as he can be excellent every week against spurs, wigan, villa etc.

I said one good game against DECENT opposition.

Yeh ok. But he did well in the world cup and euros so he can't be all bad. Wish we had him!
