                       Martin

Finnan         Hobbs     Paletta     Arbeloa

Pennant   Mascherano  Sissoko     Kewell

                 Idrizaj        Torres

Note that we'll have all the goals we need with Masch and Idrizaj in the line-up!

you have to be more specific about Martin in goal as we have two, I am guessing you mean David Martin because Hansen looked :censored: and everything else was last names :)

ALso would have to argue Roque over Paletta.  It seemd like your "on present form" was only people who have played in the last week (vs. wrexham, copa america, asia cup) but you included Torres who hasn't played in a Red shirt yet? Come on bad bob too many inconsistencies   :p but I wonder who you would put in there based on the other rules you had set up?  Jordy? Lindfield? El Zhar? a Hungarian? possibly Hammil at LM and Kewell as CF   :D

this can also be switched back to a 4-4-2 if neccecary:

You must realllllllly rate Pennant. CM and then LM? He only does one thing well: putting the ball on people's heads with his right foot. and decent but certainly not outstanding pace and control.  And I actually like pennant and thought he improved a lot over the couse of the season.

I would guess our first-choice line-up (If Rafa has such a thing) would look something like this:

                                                     Reina

                  Finnan                JC                       Agger                   Aurelio

                               Mascherano                          Alonso

Pennant                                                                                           Kewell
                                                Gerrard

                                                          Torres

I dont really rate pennant at all really as a top class player but i was thinking about it and who else will play there. I woudnt wish sissoko on any premiership team as i dont think hes able to play at the top level at all, gives away too many passes and always gets the ball caught under his feet when hes dribbling. i dont want to offend any sissoko fans but thats just what i always seem to see him do in matches.
