I was just walking in Stanley Park and soldiers with machine guns forced us into the ground and told us to sing and act as though we were having a good time because the cameras were there. People were crying and they didnt let us out until midnight.

Mine has to be in 1978 when we played Dynamo Dresden in European Cup although we were up 5-1 in the first leg at anfield quite a few liverpool fans went. Mare of a journey but the stadium a joke. First there were more army there than fans we were hurded on to these concrete steps and told not to move, you dont argue when theve all got machine guns. Trying to find something to eat was a joke as not one person understood what we were saying and were to scared to speak to us anyway with the soldiers looking on. and when Stevie Hieghway scored and we started to cheer we got the guns pointed at us again . I know it was eastern Germany at the time and we took a risk going but ive seen better stadiums in the rhymans league.
