I would disagree with you

quite possibly true lads.............
"Manchester United are set to beat Arsenal, Liverpool, Bolton, Valencia and Real Madrid to the signing of Barcelona's Argentine striker Javier Saviola, for a cut-price £7m (News of the World)."

Then when we offered to sell him he stayed on the bench to claim the bigger wages rather than go elsewhere to play 1st team football. The same happened when we eventually offered him a free transfer. He's just a mercenary and i don't even rate him that highly as a player. Gudjohnsen is better than him IMO.

I can understand your point in terms of his attitude, but he was under no obligation to take a wage cut, clubs should honour their contracts just as much as players should.
The debt is something Saviola is not responsible for.
Having said that, given others were at least willing to concede some of their wages to help the club it shows his attitude towards Barca.
That combined with his apparent lack of desire to look for a new challenge whilst on the bench at Barca does not give a glowing impression of his attitude.
I rate him as a talent, but I don't think he'd be right for us. He could perhaps be decent cover, but he would not be my preference.
A different kind of talent but not as good as Gudjohnsen IMO.

makes sense eh ?!
Absolute rubbish IMO.
Semolina is a small, nippy striker, with little strength, no aerial threat and decent finishing ability.
What would he add to our front line?
Would he create like Crouch does and even finish like Crouch can, would he pose as much of an aerial threat as any of our other strikers?
Would he chase back like Kuyt and help build our play?
I don't think he would do any of these, he is unproven in Europe - came with a huge reputation and a wage to match but has failed miserably.
As for not being sure about Voronin, he's not even played for us yet!!!
Get real.

you obviously dont know sht about saviola so u might aswell limit ur contribution in this thread to " oh he wouldnt take a pay cut... wat an a.sshole he is eh ?! ...lets not sign him...attitude is all that matters for us here in liverpool"
i doubt u ever even watced saviola play...yet you still come up withlike Crouch is better than him and oh...he offers no aerial threat !
ronaldo offers no aerial threat yet is still regarded the best player in recent football history...3rd best player in the making ! its not all about aerial ability ! not all about strength !
he has ball control better than anything we have..skills...finishing ability.... he IS wanted by the top clubs in europe for a reason you know ! if we can get him he'd be a very good signing and yes...better than anything we got !
watch a couple of games before you come up with all the "this is absolute rubbish" craap u come up with!
his record speaks for itself... 136 goals in 290 games... get a clue mate ! and dont take that condescending tone with me eh !
