Just a couple of observations and one request. Firstly, never one to be too shy of stating the obvious where it's blatantly needed, young Sarah, Ciggs and Pauls missus do wonders for this topic as a whole, a fine display all round. Fair play indeed.
Stu kind of looks like I thought he would, and Smeg needs to cheer up a bit and stop listening to the Echo & the Bunnymen Albums.

Lastly a request. Can anybody (really really really simply, step by step) explain to me how you get a picture from a digital camera onto the forum. Please consider that I am an absolute numpty when it comes to computers, but if I can suss it out I can bung a couple of piccies up of my ugly mug. Niot that anyone's massively interested of course, but if you are going to pass comment on everybody else you should by rights put yourself out there to be shot at I reckon.

upload your camera dvd software onto your pc, then download the photo. you can use photobucket to assist in hosting your picture mick. you can download that for free mate. Im a numpty when it comes to techno stuff, but even i managed it, so i reckon you should be able to also

Dear Bigmick,

Ok. Firstly you need a website that will host your picture for you. (ie they provide the internet connection for the rest of the forum to see your picture)

For the purposes of this explanation, use this site: www.imageshack.us

Now when you go to that webpage you should see this:

Can you see the button that says browse? Click on that and find the picture on your computer. Then hit upload.

(if it says picture to large, you will have to resize it, this can be done by any picture viewing software you have on your computer, just remember to save it under a different name so you don’t lose your high quality picture)

After you upload, you should see this

Do you see the bit down the bottom that says direct link to image?
Highlight it, then right click, hit copy.

Then go to the forum and inside your post type this:

After you type that, right click and hit paste (you will paste the link)

Then type this

Done.

in other words type this:

another way to see how to do it is by quote someone who has a picture in their post. you will see the codes

Now if you get all professional on us and want to start posting multiple pictures, you can join a web based photo hosting site. I like this one:

photobucket.com
