I am totally on a downer over last night, really depressed I prefer Chelsea to knock us out rather than play the mancs.
Imagine if they beat us and won the treble  :sniffle .
I never enjoy playing them as it is so nervous so much tension even in a league game.
Imagine a CL final against them.
Sh.itbag Neville has said he wants us in the final I feckin hate him gobsh1te.
I hope Bayern or Milan knock them out if we progress please god please.
Ronaldo, Rooney, Evra and Ferdinand are one yellow away from a ban, lets hope they get booked in the next game and miss that game away from castle grey skull.

One things for sure Hitzfeld or Ancelotti wont be as naive as Roma's manager last night.
Spolit my feckin day that did last night.

I can honestly see Man U going out in the semi's. Whoever they play will play United away in the last leg so if they can come away from OT with a decent result Man U will struggle. Their away form is not good and hopefully Milan will be a bridge to far for them.

I hope Man United get knocked out in the semi, too.
Didn't see that game last night, learned the news this morning first from a Man United fan and feel really shocked. Now that fan even began to fancy a Man United vs Chelsea final. It makes me feel really bad.
Hope Milan or Bayern could set the world right again and meet us in the final :buttrock

Feck this Lynds - we can beat any team this year. I hope we get the Manc's this year so we can kick their feckin' asses! Why the hell couldn't we beat them - yes their in good form, but so are we. We should not be afraid to meet any team in this competition. Imagine if our players went out with that sort of attitude.

We'll knock Chelsea out then bring on the final!

ohhhh k, so its Chelsea AGAIN and then possibly Utd.....

Well we did it last year on the way to the FA Cup but the reason i wanted to avoid playing English teams is i fear that maybe our good streak in cup competitions against them will be over.....and the fact that it's Champions League the loss will take a long time to re-cover from.
Its not that i think that we will lose to them, i know we can beat them both....its just the fear of losing to one of THOSE sides will be sickening.

But its no point playing in Europe's best competition without going through tough opposition ive heard....so bring it. we will do it.

I'll take this -

Chelsea win the league and cup

We win the CL against Meelan again

Utd win nowt... again

Valencia were shockingly pants last night letting Chelsea to boss them around.Started very well but switched to a pedestrian pace.In the second half were awful. I cared less about Roma. They are a bunch of useless clowns!!! So now we get Chelsea in the semis & Mourinho will be at it again with his annoying pranks. Hope we stuff them up!!!

What a sh#te night that was.

I'm deliberately not reading any press today because quite frankly I can't be bothered having to read the w@nkfest there's going to be over the United game. As far as some are concerned, they've probably won the trophy already.

Didn't surprise me at all that the Chavs scored in the 90th minute. They've made a habit of it. Valencia were pi$$ poor in the second half and deserved to lose. Essien is suspended for the first leg of the semi which is a bonus.

We'll beat Chelsea. They're weaker than they were two years agi IMO and we're a lot better than we were then. However us vs manure in the final would quite frankly give me heart failure.

The prospect of getting beat off chelsea or man u is not even worth thinking about, but imagine if we beat them!!! we can beat these two we've played them off the park, albeit not won, but in europe we've been a better team. Chelsea aren't as good as last year and sometimes i feel they owe us a beating for the last two semis but i'd fancy our chances more against them than valencia.

As for the scum, they were celebrating like they'd won it last night and hopefully its gone to their head and they'll slip up against bayern or AC.

We absolutely have to beat chelsea cos if the scum win and chelsea do it'll have been them and the mans in the FA cup, fighting for the league and the european cup (sickening isn't it)

March on!! YNWA

Some of the defeatist talk in this thread is really odd.

If we don't get past Chelsea in the semis, we don't deserve to win the tournament.

If we feel like we have to avoid ANY team along the way, we don't deserve to win the tournament.

We've already bitten the bullet every team in Europe would've flinched away from - who else could've made Barca look so ordinary over two legs?

I back us to beat ANY team in Europe over two legs. I also think we're potentially as good as anybody in a one-off final.

Seriously, buck up guys. We're three games away from a major, major final. These are good times. Stop f*cking moaning.

Honest to god, Drummerphil would be kicking a*ses in this thread if he could hear how morbid some of you are coming off... And all this after a night WHEN WE DIDN'T EVEN F*CKING PLAY! :p

Mate you have miss understood me its nothing to do with the football, I think we can beat both of them.
But the prospect of a manc final there would be a blood bath, imagine the airports, ports, planes, resorts, all round Athens.
It would be a nightmare, it would kick off before the match even started, and who ever wins it would kick off and the Greece police could not handle the fans with that amount of rivalry.
Its just not worth the hassle it would be great if we beat them dont get me wrong but Id sooner not play them atall if there was a possiblity of us being banned and I would say there is a very BIG mpossibility.
I want them out full stop.
Fuck off mancs get outta our comp.

Whilst United played well you'd be hard pressed to find a more tactically naive away performance than the one Roma put in in the history of European football. Absolutely shocking. Away from home, defending a lead against a team who's best players are on the flank. What do you do, play a system that provides no cover for your fullbacks which makes even less sense when one of your fullbacks is the defensively inept Christian Panucci, playing out of position. :no

I watched Man UTD last night and they were freakin' awesome.

Am I particularly worried about meeting them? No more so that I was before the match.

Take it from me, they've shot their load now, peaked too soon. Think about it: by the time they play Milan or Munich they'll be right in the thick of a Premiership race with Chelsea and also in an FA Cup final. Roma were as terrible as the Mancs were brilliant last night. I doubt any off the other teams left will allow UTD 1/3 as much time on the ball to cause damage they way Roma did last night.

All last night proved was that if you allow sides like Man UTD, Barcelona and Arsenal time and space on the ball they will rip you apart.

There is recent precedent to what I am saying: Man UTD's performance last night was the best I've seen since Deportivo ripped an excellent AC Milan side (a far better side than Roma) to shreds by beating them 4-0 at home in 2004. Deportivo then went and played Porto who completely closed the game down and were knocked out. I predict the same thing to happen to the Mancs.
