Carra was brilliant as was Finnan, who made some absolutely crucial clearances in the box and who was calm and assured with the ball under pressure.

A proper nod to Aurelio and Pennant as well--players who have had plenty of stick. Pennant's goal was a cracker and so important in making the points safe but he also did well tracking back and relieving pressure. Aurelio made some important tackles against the tricksters Kalou and SWP.

Went for Kuyt, he was everywhere, never stopped running and trying and he scored a sucker punch of an early goal to get us fired up!!!

Sky Sports went for Gerrard who as always was brilliant as well, but I fucking hate Sky Sports for the way they can't see past him, therefore the deaf and blind pricks (metaphorically speaking of course) who believe everything Sky Sports serves to them on a plate as Gospel, forget we have ten other players who sometimes might deserve a mention occasionally as well.

has to be carra, fantastic display, he was clearing everything and making every tackle, fu.cking superb

mention for aurielo aswell, he made some terrific tackles and offered plenty of support going foward and his distribution was superb, the amount of times he found crouchs chest was unbelievable.

My top 3 would have to be;

1. Carra - immense performance and leadership at the back
2. Kuyt - ran all day long and scored the crucial opener
3. Pennant - after all the stick he's taken he put in a slid perfomance and took his goal brilliantly
