1. Cisse is happy at Marseille and they should make the Champions League this season.
2. Marseille are being bought so the money will be there for Cisse.
3. Cisse owe's Marseille due to the fact they took an injured player on loan and showed faith in him. They could of just waited to Jan but didnt.
4. Aint a serious reason but the Marseille fans are fanatics and if Cisse say's no to them he better be prepared for the backlash. He got death threats last year as they thought he refused to go to the OM last January. When it looked like Ribery was off they went to the training ground to show there disgust at him. I think Houiller would love to get Cisse but no way can Cisse refuse to go to Marseille and sign for Lyon.
5. It can be very easy to think of swap deals but in reality I cant see swap deals happening. Selling Cisse to Marseille and getting Ribery part of the deal would be great but not going to happen.
There is no reason for Cisse to go to Spurs instead of Marseille. Spurs aint going to make the Champions League and they aint as big as Marseille either.
If Cisse would rather play for Marseille than Spurs then he is as stupid as his hairstyles would suggest.
Whether they make the champions league and spurs dont is irrelavent, our league p!sses all over theres and he would be playing for a better side and against better players every week.
I dont care either way to be honest, provided we get something back for him he can play for Vauxhall Motors for all i care.
Thats the same argument people used to use when mid table English sides were after Larsson. Its not just about the league, the size of the club matters as well. Spurs are a top 6 English side where the chance of playing CL football are minimal. Marseille even though they aint won nothing in years are still the biggest club in France, they have 60,000 at every home game (fans who will love him), a club who should qualify for the CL and with the new takeover should be spending some money to try and compete with Lyon. More importantly like I said before Cisse was damaged goods but Marseille still took him on loan. I dont think Cisse will just forget that.
