but mate, push for what? all we have left is the champions league, what if we go out in february?
this season i fear we will be empty handed so i dont see that as progress, in fact this season i see as a backwards step by a manager who is becoming more confused about what he doing from one week to the next.
no doubt there will be people on here soon saying how wonderful we are and how wrong we were to doubt rafa, to put it in perspective today we beat a team that have won one game all season so not really a good guage.
no matter how many excuses are made for rafa he needs to sort his head out quickly and put the same importance on EVERY game.
maybe its my age, i dont know your age mate so i may be out of line here but i grew up in the 70s and 80s watching quality in the red shirt, and watching managers that played strong teams and wanted to win everything, that is a good attitude for sport. this is why i find it harder to accept rafa excuses and reasons, i am really confused how he can throw away the extra income and silverware and then make a comment like the premier league is most important for us while having thrown away our chance of winning that earlier in the season with some baffling team selections, formations and tactics.
all i see at the moment is a man searching for excuses when the fualt lays squarely at his own door.
