Carragher and gerrard - Bust up?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby begintoend » Mon Jun 21, 2004 6:29 am

The rumours are all going to Chelski....
I have an outside bet that it may be Gerrard to Manc !!
The other bet is Gerrard's noot going anywhere.

Wherever the lad's going, better be off as early as possible. Or snub it if there isn't any!
I do not want his transfer saga to disrupt Beni's team building after the euro.
The team is just looking great with Beni around, with or without SG and MO.

Ok last season he was the best we had, by a long way. I always had the attitude to players who demanded ttransfers that they should be forced to honour their contract and if they didnt pull their weight throw them in the reserves until they change their attitude.

but with a player of Gerrards stature I would say "ok, we will let him go, but we will let him go for what he's worth, 50 million and not a penny less" and therefore take away any arguments Gerrard can have. "look son, we said u can go but no one will pay your true value, sorry".

or am i talking out of my a*rse   :D

Just a thought

Is there any karma in getting Kewell at a cheapo bargain....
But leeds was at a terrible situation last time though.

Anyways, my price : 60mil at least.... (who needs an investor?)

I'm a big fan of Carragher, that lad is a PROPER red unlike Gerrard, SG should give Benitez a season or two before he decides he wants to leave but if he isn't 100% commited to LFC we need to off load him for £40m  :(

Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard have had a bust-up over the Liverpool skipper's proposed move to Chelsea according to the Rumour Mill.

Carragher is apparently furious with Gerrard for his desire to leave Liverpool at such a crucial time, particularly after only last season insisting he wants to stay at Liverpool and signing a new five-year deal.

The press are now reporting on the transfer rumour on a daily basis and Rafael Benitez has travelled out to Portugal to talk to Gerrard.

Didnt you lot hear what happened ?
it wasnt just Gerrard & Carragher , it was nearly the whole team scrapping,
Beckham was livid and it showed in the way he was on the pitch , only Campbell and Lampard that calmed it all down.
I think Beckhams captaincy is in doubt too.

Good man Cheeso, always first with the juicy gossip.  :D

I don't know whats happening, but there's definitely something rotten in the state of Denmark and the rumours now are so intense that there simply has to be some element of truth to them.

We will see if (and when) Carragher can command £120K/week salary, whether he will make the same decision as SG (yes, I am sure he will be wearing blue next season). It is just sad, but what can you say after years of failures. :(

As for SG going to Chelski to win trophies...bollo©ks...pure ƒucking bollo©ks!

Show me the money !!!

I still think SG could wait a season or two and give Benitez a chance, thats if he isn't in it for the money  :(

The lad is only 24 and is gobbing off aboout winning things, in my opinion he is being a little hasty

What "understory"?

You reckon Gerrard might have agreed to Chelsea during last season?
