F*cking Nora!

Almunia played against us, and Arsenal were the away side!

Dudek is better than him.

Stop f*cking whining. It was a bad game by a decent player.

Stop bashing Rafa you bunch of wet farts.

Get your head out of your fkn a-rse Lando

Its a valid point, not a Rafa bashing excersise by any stretch of the imagination.

Dudek was replaced and put on the list because he wasnte good enough anymore,
He hasnte had any match practice of late, and it showed.

Pepe has been in fine form lately,so to lose him through injury forcing us to play Dudek would have been a blow

So to drop him fully fit and play Dudek against Arsenal of all teams because he promised him! was nothing short of stupidity on Rafas part,
if you ever read any of my posts I always back Rafa, he played Crouch for tactical reasons, fair do's, not my choice, but I will back his judgement on that.

But dont tell me the reason for playing Dudek had any place in proffesional football!

It was a nice gesture from Rafa for him to offer Jerzy the domestic cup games, but I hope he doesnt make offers like this to often  :sniffle

according to bbc sport Dudek will keep his place tonight...

BBC Sport:

Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek will keep his place for his side's rearranged Carling Cup quarter-final.
Craig Bellamy could return up front while defenders Sami Hyypia and Fabio Aurelio are also pushing for a recall.

Arsenal welcome back Cesc Fabregas, who was suspended for Saturday's FA Cup win against Liverpool at Anfield, and Abou Diaby returns after eight months out.

William Gallas could return after a thigh injury but Emmanuel Adebayor and Freddie Ljungberg are out.

Is Rafa trying to con us by making out that Dudek did okay against Arsenal?

He might as well start him tonight anyway as it is a mickey mouse cup which I have no interest in. I think Wenger will play a weakened team and Rafa should do so too so our players will be fully rested for the next league game.

Although its the poorest of the domestic cups available I still want to win it. I set out with the mindset that I want us to win every trophy.

Also its another trophy in the cabinet and another thing to throw in the faces of the Mancs, Bitters etc.

I know for a fact that the bluenoses would love to win this and although its not a glamour cup, its still another cup.

Also its another day out for the army of red fans and I fucking love going to Cardiff!!

isn't it at the new wembley mate?

i believe that it was a poor decision rafa made in promising jerzey the cups...it should have only been the carling cup! but wats done is done, we can't change it, i think rafa should stick to his word and play jerzey tonight....give him a chance to redeem himself. almunia played for arsenal, so if arsenal had lost (which they could have if we put away our chances!) would eveyone be saying that wenger made a really poor choice?? sh1t happens, jerzey isn't all that bad and i dont think we should have a go at rafa, even though i think pepe would have saves at least two of those shots.
lets move on and get behind the boys tonight!!!!

Why is Dudek becoming the scapegoat.  We lost v Arsenal as they were the better team, simple as that.  Dudek is not to blame for the defeat.  Before all 3 shots into the LFC goals the players made mistakes which led to those shots.  Dont pin it all on Dudek.

I wouldnte dream of making Dudek the scapegoat,
hes not to blame in the least, its Rafa who completely fkd up.

Lets hope we can get passed them 2night, then spurs, and beat chelsea in cardiff (the new wembley is hosting the FA final)

I will be watching it from the main stand  :rasp

Dudek is poor and has been for a few years. His contribution at Istanbul will never ever be forgotten but let's not kid ourselves. He had one great season and that was it.

He doesn't have the ability to bounce back after a mistake. He isn't strong mentally to play on a consistent basis at this club. He isn't vocal enough in the box. As I said, hero in Istanbul but not good enough to play all the time. Rafa knows that, which is why he is on the bench 99.9 percent of the time.

You can make excuses all you want for Dudek about the poor defending which was terrible, but at the end of the day his job is to make saves. It doesn't matter if he does nothing all game but if he is called into action once he needs to make that save.

He should had saved the last two goals without any problems. Granted the first one was a great goal by Rosicky but Reina has made some excellent saves [the save he made with Sinclair's superb shoot last season at Anfield].

He isn't good enough and yesterday proved that. We need to sell him when we get the chance.

Agree with this 100 per cent.

Rafa was foolish to promise anyone they would play in the cup games just cos they're not first choice in the Prem, but a goalkeeper?

Given that we're out of the title race and have Barca in the CL, this was our best shot at a trophy that counts this season, and we frighten anyone in the country as a cup team.

Makes me kind of glad we went out in the 3rd round of the FA Cup now rather than hobble on using up players' energies, fitness and focus on a campaign that - with Dudek in goal – would've hit the buffers at some point. Might give us even more focus against Barca

sentiment has no place in the fa cup

lets learn from this and let dudek retire in the ressies. leave carson out on loan but put a re-call clause in for the new contract with charlton from jan until may.
we've only won it 5 times
