We are swimming in centre backs at the moment, Agger, Paletta & Hobbs. We definately need cover for Finnan, Neil is not a bad player at all, however would he be happy sitting in the bench and getting a few games a season, as Finnan has made that position his own!

We need cover for the left side definately. Zenden can decided if he wants to be fit or not, along with Warnock

so riise is goin to hold the left back position and the brazilian idiot well do some covering when speedy (MG) needs a rest. We also need cover for the right, Pennant is slowly looking like he is getting some form, and we all no that Luis has more off days than not, unless is in europe :laugh:

so we need more cover there. Simao would be an great addition but not in jan, and Villa from spain, oh please bring him - but don't we have enough forwards?

I would say the centre of midfield needs more cover, however i don't feel we should buy. We have Potter, Mannix, Le Tallec (if he ever comes back). Maybe its time to the youth out! What about the GK situation, if Dudek gets injured who will cover - hmmmm?

So the positions we need cover, right/left back/midfield for definate,
and possible centre-mid and GK.

Oh and Juve and Real can look at Xabi and Agger - but thats all they will be doing - LOOKING! The way Agger is playing, he has proved he IS the man to fulfill Hyypia's shoes when he or Rafa decides his time is up, and i need not to saying anything about Alonso as we all no what he's like :bowdown

Back-up right back's the only area I'm immediately concerned about.

The latest insane rumour I'm hearing (which I don't believe for a second, and nor should anyone else), is that Beckham's coming in on loan.

Nonsense rumours aside, maybe a loan signing for central mid wouldn't be a bad idea?

I like the player Juninho from Lyon.

This player can hit free kicks for fun and his set play deliveries are superb.

As he is just turned 30 now he would likely be in our price range and would be an exciting player at a decent price.

Short term? yes long term? No. I think rafa would prefer a player for the future or for 3-4 years time.

i think we need a right midfielder and a right back cover. alves seems an obvious signing as he can fill both roles. ive seen him loads this season,he is different class. maybe quaresma aswell.he would get the crowd on their feet and is more consistent than garcia
