Alonso? - Is he needed

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Red Dotty » Mon Nov 13, 2006 1:45 am

This may have been said and argued before and this post is not meant as a doom a gloom thread but. Imagine for one minute Momo was fit, would Raffa ever drop Alonso and give Stevie and Momo the middle of the park in a 4-4-2 formation. Alonso is i feel not firing as he can and maybe he should be rested.

Thought please 4-4-2 with Momo and Stevie and get some big bucks for Alonso. :wwww

Please tell me you're joking?

Drop Alonso? Are you serious?

Watch our home form fall apart aswell?

No thanks.

You don't drop your best player unless he's injured/tired.  :no

Oh, and before anyone comes in with the absolute gem "Sissoko is a better defensive midfielder than Alonso" ('cos I know some tit will), realise this:

SISSOKO IS AN IMPORTANT PLAYER WITH BATTLING QUALITIES, BUT THE ABILITY TO TACKLE DOES NOT MAKE YOU A DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER. IT TAKES BRAINS, POSITIONAL SENSE, AWARENESS AND DISCIPLINE TO DO THAT JOB. FOR ALL HIS DRIVE AND BOUNDLESS ENERGY, HE ISN'T A PATCH ON XABI.

MOMO WILL NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER BE A F*CKING DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER. HE IS A F*CKING BATTLING MIDFIELDER. PLEASE TAKE THIS IN SO YOU DON'T GET INSULTED.

You have been warned, so no crying to the mods if you DO spout b*llocks.  :shifty

Is Alonso needed? That's like asking if your balls are needed. Go cut them off and see what happens.

This is almost as ridicilious as some tit saying today on BBC ''Alonso is inferior to Nolan''.

Knee-fecking jerk reactions.

Alonso has a couple of quiet games and the knockers come out... typical.

I think we should sell Alonso and use Zenden instead.  I mean, he cost us nothing and we could then keep the Alonso money.

Alonso is still a key player within the team, to get rid of the man is madness. To be truthfull i would rather have Alonso come of the bench than Zenden !
