It looks as though confidence in our camp is extremely low - i havent seen liverpool play that poorly against United for as long as i can remember. The passing from pretty much everyone seemed lazy (for want of a better word), and for me, it didnt look like there was commitment there from our boys.
I disagree with a lot of the rants posted on here though, i find it hard to believe that a number of you (who were probably all rubbing your hands together before the season started thinking this might be our year) are suddenly slating some of our best players, saying they arent good enough, lets ont forget that Reina, Riise, Sami and Finnan broke records last season for clean sheets - i bet you werent telling people they werent good enough then, were you?
I do think that there is a lack of commitment tto the cause at the moment though. i mean, if the players cant motivate themselves for a game against united at old trafford, when CAN they? What happened to the team with the spirit to come back from 3-0 down to win the CL? or come back from behind TWICE against West Ham last season?
My problem is the side hasn’t really improved on last year. The new signings have made the squad stronger but the team isn’t. Now that’s a problem when Chelsea with Ballack and Shevchenko are a better team. Arsenal with Gallas and Rosicky and the ever improviing Fabregas are a better side than last year. Utd with a fit Paul Scholes, a in form Saha, a flyer in Ronaldo look better than last season.
