Terrible mistake of Alonso trying to pass the ball to Casillas with a header, and Healy scored. *sigh*
Northern Ireland started to press valiantly well up in the pitch, and shoudn't stop doing that after getting the equaliser.
Albelda injured, Cesc to the game, Alonso ocuppies the defensive midfielder position now, like in LFC
Min 43. Classical action of Torres in which he ends up in the floor and then asking the linesman how couldn't it possibly be foul.
N. Ireland is taking the game to the physical aspect of the game and Spain is falling in that trap. If Spain wants to win, things must change in the second half.
Cesc, Alonso and Xabi are too close of each other, we have only one real wing with Villa wide open on the left, and Sergio Ramos is not good enough to provide danger in the other wing.
Another classic Torres action, with a wasted chance.
End of first half.

Its been a good half Sabre!! N Ireland are trying to rough Spain up a bit..but i fear your teams class will shine through in the second half,i hope im wrong!
We have played well with no fear which surprises me a bit as we looked to give Iceland too much respect on Saturday especially Gudjonsen! I think Spain have been under par but as you say September is a bad month for them! A few times i felt Spain showed class and ripped us apart but hey we need a bit of luck!
Good luck for the second half..i hope we can hold on and maybe sneak a win!
I also think that we'll improve in second half, but since I'm 30 years old and have been watching Spain for quite a long time, I placed 3 Euros for a draw yesterday, as it's paid well
And that's why Villa is far better than Torres. 1-2.
Luis Garcia is warming up.
