I understand what you are saying, but we didnt send our Tornado's to bomb Dublin back to the stone age in the 80's when the IRA was bombing London did we?

I agree, israel has gone completely over the top in its response. But another thing we must remember is that Hezbollah and Hamas want the complete detruction of Israel, so you can't really talk to them.

Because Israel was created on land which the Arabs already populated.

The only solution is the destruction of the zionist state!!!

You sound like some pro war campaigner? You're not George Bush's f*ckbuddy are you?

An Israeli air strike to Beqaa (near Lebanon's north-eastern border with Syria) has killed at least 28 people and injured about 20, Lebanese officials have said.

Turkish press reported that all of these 20 died people were farmers loading vegetables to the trucks

Israeli planes have carried out strikes across Lebanon, destroying bridges in mainly Christian areas north of Beirut. 4 bridges are destroyed and that prevents the aid of UN in the area  :no

BBC News

It is horrible mate  :no

I saw some of the dead bodies on tv! They don't look like hizballah militiants to me at all! and on the bridges in the north i have some family members who are right now staying in some parts of the north next to the bridges that were bombed, we called them and they were okay but they were really scared of the noise at first.

This is getting really crazy! Israel should stop this, i agree with you stu, hizballah's attacks are a reaction of israel's attacks on lebanon.

If olmert really wants peace, violence won't solve the crisis, shame on the israeli government i hope every politician in israel burn in hell

a very interesting news happened today that israeli government are asking the people of tel aviv to prepare their shelter underground because hizballah has the capability of hitting tel aviv.

The sad thing is Metalhead that a peace is so far off it's unbelievable.... These politicians just seem to rejoice in sending young lads to their deaths. Ours in the west are no better.... are you listening George and your little puppy, Tony?

Yeh kash mountain,  Saad Al Hariri, who is a member of the lebanese parliament said that ceasefire will come early next week so everything is hopeful! i've been contacting some of my friends who are still in beirut, they told me nothing to worry about!

BTW, Chavez ( Venezuelan president ) talked in Al Jazeera on thursday and said: "USA is the Count Dracula running after blood and oil." He called the Israeli attacks "genocide".
:nod

Here are some parts of his speech:

"It really causes indignation to see how the state of Israel continues bombing, killing ... with all of the power they have, with the support of the United States. It's hard to explain to oneself how nobody does anything to stop this horror.

The Israeli elite repeatedly criticise Hitler's actions against the Jews, and indeed Hitler's actions must be criticised, not just against the Jews but against the world. It's also fascism what Israel is doing to the Palestinian & Lebanon people ... terrorism and fascism."

George Bush apprantely see's Chavez as a "threat to democracy" and I believe Venezuela houses oil does it not? If that is indeed the case then it wouldn't surprise if me if the U.S went in there as well.

Yea it does Oasis. Venezuela is the 3rd biggest oil owner in the world. And of course, Bush wants to bring "independence and democracy" to Venezuela. :help

BTW, Chavez is the no1 hostile of Bush for months. He drive away the American and other international oil firms from Venezuela and assembled a strong anti-american power with south american countries (+ Iran, North Korea, Angola, China, Russia etc.)

The U.S really does sicken me, their foreign policy has caused so much problems down the years for the world and it will continue to do so. I take it they will be going into Venezuela after they've finished extracting cheap oil in Iraq.  :no

It all comes down to a few things!!
Them few that are the simple facts of life...The biggest one being the sheer drive to exist and at the very least have an identity!
Jews have been persecuted from Bible times that i cannot comprehrend!!Years ago like!!We're talkin back when Jesus was kickin about!!for 33 years or so im told!!

Jews take no sh.it,can you blame them?
I cant and dont,never will!

There is not a Jew alive that does not know of 1 single relative, albeit distant that was not persecuted, condemmed, ordered from their home, or hidding place...be it in AD 12  or AD 1942,to be killed or exiled for any reason. They suffered the holocaust...or genocide!!Words were placed in the English dictionary that were never there b4 Hitler was spawnwed and failed to do his evil!!

The Jews or Israelites as known now are simply a bullied child in the arms of a world that fails to see its hurt! They want humanity.....humanity will need to let itself known to Israel b4 Israel lets itself known to humanity!
Its killl or be killed as far as Israel are concerned....Can u blame them???
I DONT!

On a small note...The Lebanese people do not deserve the rockets..never!!

Rats hide in small holes...they send in the dogs..the dogs see rabbits, hares, deer, spiders, ants and whatever else.....The rats die and so do the rest!!
They send in the birds
who can see them from afar, the eagle?

The eagle shoots ...bang bang bang..your dead...swoops kills a mouse.the mouse is dead...but the mouse has 2 sisters and a brother!

So they come marching up..'Who killed my brother i want retribution'.......Revenge???

The bottom line is lads, revenge is a word that makes a person feel whole...if they get it they get,it if they dont they feel less!

If ya feel whole u got nothing to fight for...I dont really care to fight to be anything anymore...but i guess if i had a cause it would be to be British and proud....Well i got the first part..im workin on the proud bit!!

Gonna take a while

Hey Metalhead, how are you mate?

I know the Lebanese Government rejected the peace plans, any ideas on the specifics of what was contained in it  I think it would be interesting to know.

Be safe mate.

Hey KM

I'm ok i guess.

Well the american-french pact wasn't good enough for the lebanese government because it wouldn't take out the israelian forces from lebanese territories. It would ask for immidiate ceasefire, but it does not serve the best interest of the lebanese government.

The fightings are still on, olmert won't give up, he is losing alot of men and he has not accomplished any of his objective since the start of the war! Israel asked for a week last week to fulfil their objectives, so it has been 1 week and they are no where close to getting to their goals!!!

Well our israeli friends in tel aviv made a protest to stop the war after they heard nasrallah saying they will hit tel aviv if the heart of beirut is bombed, am i sensing fear from the israelians there?  :D

Hizballah are willing to have a ceasefire, but in one condition, all israeli forces are out of lebanese property.

I'm so depressed
