ENGLAND VS TRINIDAD & TOBAGO

International Football/Football World Wide - General Discussion

This match is awful and Trinidad and Tabago are unlucky not to be 1-0 up. England have kept the ball well, which is somewhat of a surprise. However England are playing too many silly long balls which isn't good, we are losing posession needlessly. We've created space and created chances but haven't taken them, Gerrard has blazed a few over and Lampard well, Mr Volleyer 2004,05,06 had the simplest of shots to put in the net and he too blazed it over, then Crouch had an excellent chance.

Ferdinand was out jumped which almost cost England a goal, lucky for England, Terry was there to save the team. So I guess I've been proved right that both Ferdinand and Lampard aren't good enough.

I think I've been proved right by Paul Robinson's blunders. If he's England's best keeper than I'd hate to see the rest of them. :no

Finally Rooney and Lennon are on, there will be more of an attacking presence.

With the names in the paper, England has one of the best squads of the world, undoubtfully. Sven should sort this out, sooner rather than later.

Lampard had the easiest chances in front of goal and knocked it into Hislop's hands.

Looked as if he was climbing on the defenders back when he scored that. A win is a win but still shockingly bad performance from England again and Wayne Rooney had to come on and play.

England have saved themselves a fair bit of embarrassment with that goal.

Gerrard.  :D

Yeah it was, it was a dreadful performance, but we got the result and are thru to the next round, which is all that matters at this moment in time, we will need to up our performance against the better teams in the latter stages.

absolute garbage.

gerraerd has been one of the most attacking threats in the league this season but for england he is sacrificed so fat frank can go forward. how many chances did lampard spurn?  gerrard gets two attempts on goal, his first hit yorke in the b0llox and the second was a peach of a goal.

if sven doesnt wake up to this fact and put gerrard an an advanced position we are going nowhere
