A lot of defammotory and well, insulting comments regarding Heskey within this post. They say Players are fickle but FANS are far worse.

Ok So Emile hasn't played consistently well in his time at Liverpool but I would like to commensd him for being a model professional. Never hear him bitchin to the papers, never aw petualnt word or action whilst playing , never brought shame and disgrace on LFC during his time and lets face it a few of his predecessors did !!!!!!

I wish him well and i think he wil do well at Brum.

And YES, he WILL score when they play us , Every Ex Red does !!!!!!!!

I think all things considering 6 million is a good price to get for Heskey... it means we are at least offsetting the price of Cissé by that much So the net cost is £8million whic is far more palatable than the £14million being suggested

£14 million is a figure that is being used though the figure ive heard is much less with instalments to come pending on apperences and goals!

Just to clarify .....

Heskey has been sold for £2.5m lump sum and a possible further £1.75m based on appearences and £2m based on progression, ie playing for England and Burmingham maintaining PL status and qualification for European football etc.

Cisse is going to cost £6.25m lump sum, further £2m following 45 appearences, £1m following 60 appearences and also £2.75 million based on his progression, ie playing for France and Liverpool playing in Europe etc. Auxerre will also receive £1m should Cisse win the European Golden Boot in his first three years as a Liverpool player.

This is the way that all footballers transfers have been negotiated since the inception of the Bosman ruling, to protect the club making the purchase.

Cisse will be unveiled as a Liverpool player on the 1st July 2004, just under twelve months since he agreed the deal and purchased a property in Cheshire.
