Agreed. Quite Odd. Must be who you want to go rather than who will go.

I think its pretty clear cut whos going.

GK: Robinson, James, Green

D: Terry, Ferdinand, Carragher, G.Neville, Bridge, A.Cole, Campbell, King

M: Gerrard, Beckham, Lampard, J.Cole, SWP, Hargreaves, Carrick, Jenas

S: Rooney, Owen, Crouch, Defoe

but King is probably injured, Campbell now spells his own name with fourteen letters, Hargreaves is a pile of horse's plop, Jenas could well be injured, Green is a maybe, Bridge is just weird...

Ah, who knows. Oh, and Southcoastshankly, the thread is called "Name your England squad" so it is based on who you want.

But Carragher can play anywhere and is more likely to play right back than at centre half (which is wrong imo).

See what your saying but i think his performance this season will make him 1st centre back along with terry

Me too, but Sven likes a settled, familiar back two, so Rio and Terry will get the nod over Carra, which is frankly b0ll0x.

Well I would like it to be known that if Sven does not start every game of our WC campaign with Carra and Terry at CB, then he is a bigger idiot than the guy who said,
"Hitting yourself hard over the head with a hammer doesn't hurt - watch!"

Only, and I mean ONLY a complete gimp with absolutely NO footballing knowledge would pick that hair-lipped druggie over JC.
