I think, if you read back, you will find I was referring to Bin Laden's taint on Islam, and not the true religon itself.
And I am sorry, but any religon which thinks killing is a good thing IS "c*ck-eyed" in my book. (And "c*ck-eyed", where I come from, means bent or rather "not straight". (As in: "That picture on the wall is c*ck-eyed".)

I have absolutely nothing against any religon, provided it doesn't try to justify mass genocide.

I have no problem with Muslims, other than the ones who bitch and moan about our national practises, such as a butcher hanging a pig in the window.
I do not try to stop people of differing beliefs from putting rice in their hair, or wailing to a wall, or even being Baptised.

SO why should followers of other religons be able to change all our ways to accomodate them, even though they come here to avoid being murdered in their own countries? As a nation, we are doing them a favour, are we not?

It just doesn't make sense to me, or the Muslim, Pakistani and  Indian friends I have. They all think that it's absurd aswell.

I am not a racist, that I can promise you. I just say it as it is, or at least how I see it.
If more people did that, the World would be a much safer place.

There is at this moment in time a swing towards extremism in this country. People feel that we are losing the English/British way of life. Ok this tends to happen with immigration and historically there has always been conflict but the worrying thing for me is people are genuinely feeling disillusioned and nobody seems to be doing anything about it.

Personally I hate racism and tend to avoid nationalist debates if i can but it seems to me that the govt is not listening to the majority hence the reports of BNP support on the increase.  I think people react wrong with a lot of issues but if its the way they feel then you have to counteract it and listen to them.

Why cant we in this country have a happy balance where using St George as an example, England should celebrate its past and history. It has contributed greatly to the world today both good and bad, but mostly good.  But also celebrate what modern England / Britain is all about and embrace and welcome all the cultures that have enhanced society.

Being Welsh I m noy that bothered about St George but Ive spent ten years of my life in england and have English friends and am amazed with the lack of celebration as they are scared of a backlash.  Well the backlash works both ways and the English must be fed up as well but nobody seems to be that bothered about them.

Using wales as an example.  We have the same issues as England, but the Welsh language and culture is promoted a lot here, maybe not enough in some peoples views.  All immigrants of all colour and persuasion are taught Welsh language and culture in schools. It hasnt always been that way but it is now.  And guess what. 

Nobody is offended by it. In fact people seem pleased that their children are embracing it. 

Oh and one more thing. I think Tony Blair aint that bad and history in the long term will be kind to him
