Excellent post BM.

I have a question.

If they continually make themselves open in the box, and they posess enough talent to go DIY and change a tight game in an instant then we will have a team to be feared. Last night was encouraging, particularly as in these days of windows and such-like we are stuck with what we've got. My suspicion is howeve rthat come the end of the season, Morientes and Cisse at least will be traded in for players who can do more often what I have described.

In my opinion our strikers movements are not at their free will. The question would be, do you think that if Morientes gets out of the box often, is due to he wants to do that, or due to he's told to do that by Rafa? I think it's the latter, but I'd love to read what you lot think about it.

I've been thinking along these lines;

Rafa is big on tactics, but how much of that quells the creativity up-front?

Also, can we afford to sell Nando AND Cisse in the Summer?
Say, at most, Nando £3M + Cisse £6M - gives us £9M to add to our funds to get two more strikers plus a right midfielder.

I see what people are saying in the posts about our strikers but football (IMHO) can be disected too much sometimes.
When Rushie wasn't scoring Paisley just told him to be more selfish... and that was that. Simple.
It's a case of not seeing the woods for the trees - they're not doing the business.
I know people state that Rafa at Valencia had everyone scoring etc etc but c'mon...

Add Defoe and Anelka next season.. and Beckham. :wwww

Why do you defend Cisse to the hilt?

Do you think he has the right mentality?

That  exactly what im thinking that both wont be sold purely for reasons of economics.
If one does go, that i expect and quite frankly hope it will be Cisse who just doesnt offer for his price tag.
Rafa obviously sees something in Nando's worth to the team and he isnt one despite some of hysterical posts on here claiming otherwise  to base his judgement on bias.
He persisted  with Kewell despite making the mistake of playing him in CL final and Harry's recent revivial seems to point to him making it a good decision.
While Nando certainly deserves some hard critqiue, some of fans should also remember some of slating of Kewell and notice things can change very quickly
While Nando certainly seems down on form and confidence, his situation isnt helped by the fact that none of strikers are setting the scoring charts alight and so there is no where to hide
Forever Red in this life and the next
