Surely, disregarding opinions on ability, Robbie Fowler is the best loved LFC player in the club's history!?!


Dalglish may or may not have had more talent/ability, but Robbie holds the mantel of "Favourite Player".

Others have said it but before I thought "Yes good signing" or "Oooh no bad signing" I just grinned and grinned and grinned, it was my first and only reaction....awesome signing for the fans and for the team....if he gets himself fit and motivated we have seen recently he still has the touch....with Crouch knocking em down God will bang em in....just cannot wait to see him to back in the red shirt. He never looked right in the white or blue shirts of Leeds and City, Owen looked OK in the white of Madrid and looks natural enough in the barcode shirt of Newcastle but Robbie never looked quite right....he's back......HE'S HOME!!!!!!!!!

I've had a right skin full tonight, so I don't mind saying this:

I cried like a little girl who'd just lost her favourite Teddy bear when Robbie was forced out.
He is my footballing idol, and for as long as I love LFC and football, no other player will come close in my estimation.

I was still a kid when I got into football (it was LFC that got me into footy), and the amount of adulation I had for a certain Mr Fowler will never be surpassed. Never.
The things I saw him do, the goals I saw him score - there has been no one to touch it over the last 10 years.

For all Ronaldinho's skill and ability, for all Stevie G's dynamism and marauding, for all Alonso's utter brilliance (my favourite LFC player until Robbie came back!!!!), none of them can match what it meant to see Fowler score.

The man is, and always will be my f*cking footballing hero.
