im VERY serious, what will all this mean?
CLASSY Wentworth Park sprinter Thierry Henry won't race again after smashing a leg during a trial at Richmond on Wednesday.
Owner Majella Ferguson said at WP on Saturday night that the injury was so severe she was advised to have the dog euthanised.
"But at home we all love the dog so much I begged the veterinary surgeon to try and save him,'' she said.
"I was told it was going to cost me a fortune but I said to go ahead and thankfully, although he has pins and plates and so on in his leg, he has survived.
"There's no way he will race again so it looks as if we have another greyhound house pet on our hands.''
Thierry Henry raced 44 times for nine wins and 12 placings. At WP his tally was seven wins and 11 placings from 38 starts. The July, 2002 son of Brett Lee and Tranquil Scene earned $33,255 in prizemoney.
