Haha ill take all the credit even though i do no uploading for them

Cheers Boys......and girls!

If you want to know how good alonsos goal is a suggest you go on a park tomorrow stand 70 yards away dribble it for 10 then try and score with your weaker foot from 60 yards on a sh!tty pitch and all this after you have just ran yourselves into the ground for an hour and a half, Trust me that goal was fantastic and its a skill in its self.

and it was left footed, and he was being put off by the keeper. the amount of times u see people try that and fail... alonso is a genius.

even the manc fan sat next to me had to applaud that goal

Don't get me wrong - his second was brilliantly done. His first one definitely had help on the way, however. :D

You can just about see the contact with the guy's ankle on the last angle in the link someone posted. The BBC showed the best angle to see the contact about 2 mins after his goal though.

Me trying to shoot with my left is like Riise shooting with his right, I couldn't do it properly 15 yards away from goal let alone 70

To be honest, most people would struggle to kick it that far with their preferred foot, let alone on target. :D

Jesus - what a game that was. An hour in I was certain it was not our day. cast iron pen to us - missed. Their's never a pen - scored, 3-1 down. Played :censored: 1st half. I can't remeber any other side dominating us this season, but bloody Luton did. Thank God for a tactically brilliant manager. - and Alonso! I was disappointed to see Sami Hyypia being one of the most obvious failures to turn up. I don't subscribe to the criticism about him that's been posted on here but today he was sh1t, and Traore wasn't there to take the blame. We need Sami fresh and up for it for the games he plays, and hopefully Agger can fill in and make that happen. In the end, this was a game that fate said we should have lost - but we're through to the next round. Yet another reason to be a happy fan at the moment - winning games where it doesn't look likely. Plus my mate at work is a big Luton fan and my life would have been a misery for months if we'd lost!

Garymac wrote:In games like that against championship sides you know there going to be rampant 1st half and you have to cope, and simply we never. 2nd half they tire and 1 part of are game changed which improved the whole performance, Finnan and Risse got involved and pushed on and it let Kewell, Gerrars and Alonso exploit the space ahead.

In games like this its normally your captain who you look to, to dig you out the sh!te but not tonight, quite simply Xabi was the man. He does all the talking he needs to with his feet, cool, composed, keeps posession, has an eye for goal! he quite captains the footballing side of things while Gerrard captains his teammates, i dont who its against, AC Milan or Luton, if your 3-1 down away from home and you come back to win 5-3 after a misrable hour, it shows youve got heart, caracter and big Fu*king balls, Liverpools class shone through in the end.

Yes there will be consquences to this cos cisse is god damn awful and placing Pongolle along side him just how much ability Cisse doesnt possess and i think the defence didnt play well, but we are through and Boring Boring liverpool put a hell of a show on for the nation (We could win these games against AC Milan and Luton 1 nil but theres a general public who you have to keep happy when your live on the telly)  :D

i think gerrard deserves credit, he ran his :censored: of tonight from what i heard. He ran all over the pitch trying to get something going and to help the guys. Crouch was a big problem tonight, he couldnt even win a header today. He got pushed way to much. Now i think more than ever we need someone to be brought it for cover. Credit to pongolle for coming off the bench and scoring two goals. Rafa must have done something to help over have time.

yeah Gerrard was good and looked knackered at the end, my point is Alonso dictated the game 2nd half, Fu*king beautifully, he is the Rafa of the team he managers things out there why gerrard gets them going, it allows Gerrard more freedom to do things attacking wise knowing he has someone in control of the game 15 yards behind him.
