anyone remember when jenson button first broke into forumla1? he had this pretty ordinary looking girlfriend who he'd been with since he was about 13 and she was on camera saying about how his fame wouldn't affect their relationship and they'd spoken about staying together forever and how there was nobody else either of them ever wanted to be with etc etc, 3 weeks later he's living in a £3m apartment in monaco with some french supermodel

you are right about the girlfriend though. Give it a couple of weeks and he will be on the arm of some big show bizz personality. Or with Geri Halliwell!!

My fav Christmas song would be "Wham, Last Christmas" It had no special meaning to me...... Its just a good song!

Regarding X factor, I saw the repeat of the final early yesterday morning, and I can comfortably say that Shayne is the better singer of the two (but he isn't brilliant). He has a much larger range, and he is more suited to the scene. (Even if he does look like Will Young!)

Andy for me was a shouter. Everything he sang was at full volume, and while that may be impressive for one or two songs, after an entire series I'd be after his blood.
I feel that if he had been able to sing something softly, he would have won (justifiably so). His voice had a better sound to it, but lacked the diversity of Shayne's.

Shayne's big strength is his look. He isn't a fabulous singer, but he has a good range. If his management make the right decisions, there is no reason why he shouldn't be a top-10 act for a few years.

However, I honestly feel that he will disappear over the next few weeks/months, and end up singing "That's My Goal" in Copperface Jacks bars.
The X Factor is a pile of cr*p. Look at the past winners of that show, and it's kin:

Steve Brookestein - doing sh*g all.
Michelle McManus - Dieting badly.
Will Young - faggott who has somehow made an impression and lasted a couple of years, without having a decent song.
Hear'say - Disbanded. One married a second-rate soap actor, one plays the piano, one got knocked up by Darren "The strayer" Day, one played Shrek's stunt double, and the other never really existed.

Girl's Aloud - Very hot, and every red-blooded male in the UK would like a piece of at least one of them. (I'd nail 4!!!!!) Their music - and let's be fair to them - is cr*p. If they didn't have Cheryl Tweedy in the band, then they'd be in musical obscurity by now, as she is the main attraction.

Anyhoo - good luck to Shayne. He'll need it.
