One of our most underated playes . Doesn't BURST forward like Riise but nevertheless does get forward and puts in some fine crosses.

That was my point.

My fault for not clarifying. Finnan is very good defensively, but Riise is more potent up forward and on set pieces, let alone his long throws.

The other thing is that Riise recovers from attacking back to defend against counter-attacks much quicker than Finnan.

With Riise, we all know he is a wing-back, rather that either LB or LM. One of his major strengths is his fitness. He can run and run, then when everyone else is knackered, he'll run some more. I can only really think of about 4 games where I've seen him look shagged!!!!

Finnan is much more solid, and a bit more technical when defending. His crosses are on the whole better than Risse's, but obviously Riise tw*ts the ball on shots at a terrifying speed, so wins that battle!!!!!
Finnan - better defender/crosser/decisions.
Riise - better shot/fitness/strength.
I'd say they are mediocre headers of the ball.

What if LFC was to explore the possibility of signing Chimbonda? Is it too early to start looking at him? I don't know much about him but he keeps getting in the highlights packages both for his defensive and attacking exploits.

I don't know, I reckon Riise is better crosser.

I almost fell out of my chair reading that one.

Hey, I'm just happy with my Stork joke in the questions thread.

You're right Kewell does look like an idiot with that mop.

I still have nightmares about Drogba turning Hyppia at Anfield for their 2nd goal.

That moment is enough to convince people the man provides service but is not up to manning top class strikers

We are actully in need of a Ring Centre Midfielder. Thats the fact. We made a blunder by selling Nunez when we have no replacement.

We are improving. Ciise is improving fast on the right. He cannot play there but he is trying. I give Ciise a big big big applause. He is doing it for the club. Unlike Chelsea players who challange their Manager, when asked to play out of their usual position,  Ciise is trying.

Likewise Gerrard. Though he is a superb talent and can play anywhere but he is better in the centre. We are wasting his creativity and talents by using him on the right.

I always suggest to move Finnan up right. At least that will keep the ball from piercing through right midfield to our side. Further good crosses will come from him though nothing can match that frick goal, Ciise scored against Portsmouth

Team is building up confidence. We have only Crouch to worry now. Seriously, he is down. He needs to score not only to prove to the fans but to improve his self esteem. Otherwise for the betterment of the team, he must take a break. Sinama can substitute him

Centre midfield is the strongest in Primiership. Believe it or not. Liverpool plays midfield more than any other club. Thatwise even Chelsea resort to long pass technic  against us.

We have Zenden fighting for place on the left with Riise. That is  damn good. Competition between the dou is good for the club.

Defence wise we are good. We are simply trying to improwise.

Whereas our right wing is desperately holding back. We are in fact stopping Ciise from being the top scorer (if I may give Ciise that much of  credit) by playing him on the right.

We aim for the Double this year and see what happens.

P/S I no longer worry about Chelsea. They've lost. I just need that to convince myself, we can burry them when we meet next

People on here seem a bit too bitchy regarding our current situation, some on here need to wake up and smell the coffee and they should get off their fat :censored: and get behind the team.
